I was Verbally Assaulted and Harassed at this store today by Laura! I was publicly shamed and humiliated for trying to find merchandise for myself. Laura attacked me after I opened one drawer to search for my size. Laura stated in a nasty tone and loud âDo you know your size, it took me 4hours to fix this â I tried to explain to Laura that I have been wearing Victoria Secret for a long time so I know what I want but every time I try to speak she cuts me off.
With Victoria Secret you have to pick the next size depending on the style to avoid constricting your femoral vein but I couldnât get a word in. Laura stood over me yelling and arguing and ordering me not to touch any draw.
The other customers all stopped in the Pink area where I was as Laura continued to humiliate me.
My daughter called thank God so she questioned what was happening as she could hear Laura yelling. I removed myself from the Pink area to the cashier Destiny in the back, she acknowledged me quickly and explained she would be with me as soon as she finishes with her client.
I asked Destiny for a manager and Laura showed up yelling with a smirk on her face âWell Iâm the manager â
I explained to Destiny to get me another manager as my complaint was with Laura. I over heard Destiny going back and forth with Laura as Laura insisted she was the only manager available.
Destiny repeatedly stated to Laura the customer would like to speak to Sam to no success.
I insisted until Sam finally showed up.
Sam apologized several times and tried to listen to what happened but again Laura came very close to where Sam and I was and stated yelling again â I want to make sure she tells the truth â
I asked Laura if she was calling me a liar, Laura kept yelling and stated âYou do not have to speak to me but Iâm going to stand right here !â
Laura did not stop yelling or move away when Sam stood between us and stated she Sam did not want this to be a back and forth and she didnât want me to leave the store on that note.
I was unable to explain to Sam what had occurred so I asked Sam to write down her name, the cashier Destiny and the store managerâs name so I can leave the store as Laura was still yelling and causing a scene.
Sam stepped away to get a paper and pen to write with and I moved back to the Pink area to be away from Laura but Laura followed me there also.
Sam returned with the names on a piece of paper for me and she accompanied me out of the store while still apologizing to me.
I have NEVER seen anything like this belligerent behavior demonstrated by Laura in your store today.
I will persue this matter and hold Victoria Secret responsible as it occurred on their premises.
I am traumatized! This happened only because I am a black woman who was wearing hijab.
There were Caucasian in the store with their children flipping drawers as they pleased while I was prohibited from touching any drawers and ordered to point to what I want so it can be handed to me.
Unbelievable! See you in Court Victoria Secret as I will not let another black or Muslim woman undure the shame and Harassment I suffered from Laura today in your store.
You would have many Law Suits if Laura is not fired immediately.
Unacceptable behavior. Poor...
Read moreI had one of the worst shopping experiences ever at this VS (Bolingbrook) location. The manager (Betty) was very rude and unprofessional. First of all, the store wasn't busy at all. The other workers were pleasant and helpful, but Betty was so impolite and unpleasant from the moment I approached her with a simple question about the register being open. Her sudden and sharp response....." NO" was so uncomfortable that my 12-year-old daughter didn't want to go to her register. I should have gone with my better judgment and stood in line with the other cashier. Unfortunately, I was next in line and had no choice but to go with her. I was still trying to be pleasant and ignore her unmannered behavior and nicely asked Betty at their BOGO apparel sale and her response was, "I don't know and I'm not going to lie to you." As I stood there waiting for her to finish response, she blatantly stopped talking to us and started ringing up all my items and didn't say anything else. My daughter and I just stood there dumbfounded. I'm not in retail but wouldn't you think being a manager she would know the answer or at least try to find out. Surprisingly, it didn't stop there, she was also very bothered and frustrated when she couldn't scan my coupons. She again just stopped and bluntly said to me that it didn't work. Usually, if the barcode doesn't scan, cashiers can type the item number in but not Betty, she wasn't going to bother doing that for me. I had to ask her to type it in and again she was frustrated because she couldn't see the numbers. So I finally told her that I would go to the other cashier because her attitude was the worst and she was very rude. Of course, I had no problem with the other cashier or my coupons. I also didn't appreciate Betty lurking around me the whole time as I was checking out. She made my daughter and I feel so awkward and uneasy with her standing there staring at us with her smirky smile. I will never go back to this location and I do plan to call corporate about this. I've been shopping at VS and Pink for over 20 years and this was by far my worst encounter with a salesperson. A special thank you to the sweet cashier...

Iâm a 43-year-old woman whoâs been shopping at Victoriaâs Secret since my teenage years, and honestly, the experience at this location has been the best Iâve ever had. Letâs start with Mary, the store manager. How does one look through your winter coat, then look you dead in the eyes and say with such confidence, âYouâre a full double Dâ? I was like, âMaâam, Iâve been a D my whole life; donât tell me what size I am... like who are you?â Well if âknowing your shitâ was a person, it's definitely Mary. Let me explain. She helped me "admit" Iâd been wearing the wrong bra size for about 20 years by having me try on a size that fit perfectly. Oh but she didnât just stop there. Mary took the time to actually educate me on sister sizes, spillage, what a properly fitting bra should feel like and how style impacts fit. Basically a full bra and âtitty 101â tutorial. She made me feel valued, not just like another customer in the door. And then thereâs Luvenia, who was adding her little two cents in the fitting room, but she was spot on too! I wouldâve NEVER picked up a Body by Victoria bra, but I love it (Luveniaâs suggestion btw). Neither of them backed down from my raised right eyebrow in skepticism .. because me, a double D and triple D depending on style? TA-HU, girl bye! But even my significant other loves the fit wants me to only shop at this location with Mary and Luvenia specifically. To top off the experience, Ms. Sabrina at the register wrapped everything up with a quick, friendly checkout. This team is the epitome of excellent customer service. Bras can be pricey, but I walked out with six (DD and DDD) thanks to these women! I usually hate the word "awesome," but these ladies are exactly that!
