A Horrible Experience: Beware of This Restaurant’s Customer Service
Today, on what should have been a joyful celebration for my daughter’s 4th birthday, we were met with an appalling experience at this restaurant. Our group consisted of four children and three adults, including my fiancé, who briefly stepped out to the car. Upon entering, the restaurant was seemingly empty, and an older woman at the front asked how many were in our party. I calmly replied with our numbers, but she began yelling at me, demanding to know again how many people were with us. When I repeated myself, she interrupted, yelling over me, and then bizarrely asked my 12-year-old son his age. When he answered, she made an inappropriate comment about his size, muttered something in a foreign language, and decided to charge him as an adult.
It didn’t stop there. She then turned her attention to my 6-year-old daughter, aggressively questioning her. When my daughter didn’t respond, I explained her age, only to be met with more rudeness. We asked for water to drink, and she charged us for it, along with a mysterious $10 “tip” she labeled as a service charge. When I inquired about this charge, she vaguely referenced a 13% notice on the door, which we later confirmed made no mention of an automatic tip.
To make matters worse, as we tried to maintain our composure and enjoy our day, she continued to speak about us in a foreign language, pointing and making us feel humiliated in front of a now-growing line of customers. The experience had become unbearable. Before we even sat down, we decided to request a refund.
What followed was even more distressing. She escalated her yelling, demanded my debit card, and refused to process the refund immediately, insisting we wait until she finished with the new customers. I was left feeling harassed and further humiliated. When another worker finally stepped in to assist, they had to repeatedly tell her to stop and leave us alone.
This was, without a doubt, the worst dining experience I have ever had. I am convinced this treatment was racially motivated, as I observed her being pleasant, calm, and professional with every other customer who did not look like me.
Please, if you value respectful and decent customer service, stay away from this...

They do not display pricing as they wish to charge u how they feel.
I had 3 children with me 5 9 12.
My 12 yr old found hair in her rice, we dismissed that. Hair in her drink, this time we alerted our waitress. She never checked the cup just asked if she wanted a new drink. She refused a new drink. At this point we were turned off and ready to go. I ask that the drink be removed from the bill because she wasn't drinking it. Neither was my 9 yr old. She said no. This was all before I saw my bill. When she returned with my bill it was $63.78. I didn't expect that at all. So I went to the font to speak with male manager. He advised me that my 9 yr old is charged as an adult because o said he was 10 when we came in. No I didn't. He's 9. I proceeded to tell him about the hair in the drink and rice. At that time he tells me I just didnt have the money to pay. This is what people do when they don't want to pay. I asked the waitress if I alerted her of these things prior to receiving my bill. Her response but she drank it all. Another lie. Yes she did drink a good bit (maybe half) but once she saw the hair she no longer wanted the drink.
I say all of that to say this, these people were very condescending when it came to complaints. They ridiculed me as if I didn't have the money to pay, when all I wanted was to pay a fair price. THEY DO NOT POST PRICES PURPOSELY. TRUST ME.
Had I known they were going to charge $18 for my son to not eat anything but cantaloupe because he was turned off by the cleanliness I would have went to tappenyaki up the street. We actually enjoy their food better. They have a bigger selection. Their service is friendlier. Hong Kong King thinks because they serve hot crab legs ( the only minor luxury) that they can treat people any way and expect you to be happy.
*SIDE NOTE....
ITS NOT WORTH GOING FOR THE CRAB LEGS. THEY ONLY BRING OUT A FEW AT A TIME. IN 30 MINUTE INCREMENTS. YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO STALK THE CRAB BIN DUE TO THE HIGH VOLUME OF REQUEST. IT TOOK 3 ATTEMPTS TO GET A PLATE OF 2 CLUSTERS. THE FIRST TWO ATTEMPTS ENDED IN COMING BACK TO THE TABLE TO WAIT YET AGAIN...
NOT WORTH...
