I frequent this Waffle House location 7 to 10 times a month. Generally I really do enjoy the food and the staff. As a matter of fact the cook was very pleasant and the cashier on duty that was on duty when I arrived was very pleasant. It must have been shift change shortly before 10pm on July 3, 2023 when i noticed that noticed a female employee come into work with her children. The children were well mannered and quite. I don’t know her situation at all and I know that mother’s often have to do what they need to do. It wasn’t my business or concern. Where my problem lies is that she was very NASTY and RUDE for no reason at all. It appears that she may have brought her personal problems to work with her. I ask for my check after being finished my meal for 15 minutes. Listen to this! She motioned with her hand and rudely said, you need to come over to her. I mentioned that I didn’t know that things had changed or else I would have already come up there to pay. I was trying to explain that to her and she told me that she didn’t want to hear it. I won’t hold this against the Franchise owner of this establishment. I have never had a bad experience. I almost never write a poor review but I am trying to get the attention of the owner. Less than a week ago I visited late night and at this same location and they were short staffed. They were busy with only a cook and a cashier. They were working hard and had no time to clean tables and the bathrooms. I ordered my food and cleaned the entire restaurant up to help before I sat down to eat. I understand what it is like to be short staffed. To the owner of this establishment, I am not trying to hurt your business. When we came in, it was around 6:45am and I guess the waitress was about to get off, she was rude, when she was asked to put the drink in a to-go cup, she got an attitude and said it was a $1.00 up charge for the to go cup. Then she completely forgot to get my coffee. When I asked again, she bumble something under her breath. EXTREMELY RUDE. Then got our order completely wrong. My man had asked for grits and eggs with cheese and neither had cheese yet. Then I asked for a 3rd egg and only got 2. When the shift changed, the waitress came to my table and told me, not asked for the payment due to her leaving. She was the rudest waitress I have ever had in my 40 years on this earth. I get to the restaurant and there are 3 customers sitting and already eating. I place my order of pork chops and eggs scrambled with cheese, raisin, covered, chunked and capped. With extra apple butter. Later I asked that my hashbrowns be cooked lightly. The first mistake was he heated the ham, mushrooms and ONIONS and placed them on top of the cooked hashbrowns (instead of mixing them) then put the cheese on top. Note I said onions that were heated but did I mention onions when I placed the order? No, I did not and I wouldn't have since I am allergic to onions. That made it the second mistake.
