Dirty Water Dough Company — Restaurant in Boston

My husband and I have been anticipating the opening of this shop and we were not disappointed. We stopped by last Friday and the interior was small but clean and fresh. There were two tables on the side and you have a clear view of the chefs as they make your food. We ordered a chicken parmesan pizza, some cookies and a brownie. The pizza was huge and the price was great. The pizza tasted delicious and they were still great the next day. The cookies were ok, they may have had too much baking powder in their recipe, the brownies are delicious though. They had the right amount of denseness, sweetness, chocolate, and that little kick of salt to make a great dessert. We went back on Sunday and ordered a Mac N Cheese pizza (my husband insisted we try it), a basket of dirty disco fries, and a regular basket of fries. The mac n cheese pizza was good for what it was, but I personally like meat on my pizza. The fries were good, but because I had ordered it to go the cheese had melted and cooled down a while ago so they weren't as good as they could have been. The regular basket of fries were good though. I like my fries and these fries did not disappoint. They still held their shape and crunch and were not soggy like most fries after the steam condenses in their containers. Absolutely terrible experience — will never be coming back.

My girlfriend and I decided to try this place today, and let me just say — it was a complete disappointment, all thanks to the cashier. From the moment we walked in, her attitude was cold and dismissive. When my girlfriend politely said “thank you,” the cashier didn’t even acknowledge it — not a nod, not a smile, not a word. Just blank indifference like she was doing us some huge favor by being there.

It felt like she thought the front counter was a stage to satisfy her ego, not a job where basic courtesy matters. Everyone else working there was actually nice and friendly, so it’s a shame one person had to ruin the vibe for the whole place.

We overheard her bragging about how she used to work at the Starbucks in Seaport — which happens to be my all-time favorite location. I know that store, and I can 100% understand why they probably let her go. With that attitude, it’s no wonder.

Ordered at 915pm, through Uber eats, two pizzas and a salad. The order arrives at 1045pm, but only has the salad. I call the driver and he’s adamant he only was given the salad. I call the restaurant and speak to a pretty rude woman who says it’s Uber eats’ problem. I highlight the one issue with her where the receipt, which was given by the restaurant itself, contains both the orders name and the order but it only has the salad on it. No pizzas. I call the driver back again and then call the restaurant again, only to get the same response from the lady. The receipt given in person from the restaurant only lists the salad, the driver has only delivered the salad. This was a very disappointing experience and a total scam by this place. As you can see in the pictures, the Uber eats order does not match the receipt generated by the restaurant.
