Café Gigu — Restaurant in Boston

Horrible service. Server asked for my mother’s ID (who clearly is over 21) and when my mom told her she did not have it the server went on to say she wouldn’t be able to give her an alcoholic drink. We were slightly annoyed but understood it’s the law to ID anyone who wants alcohol so we let it go. A couple minutes later 3 people walked in and ordered alcoholic drinks but were not asked for their ID and none of them made an effort to even reach into their wallets and show the server one. At this point we were extremely annoyed and over the situation. They pick and choose who to ID and not only is it illegal but also completely disrespectful. When I went to pay the bill I changed the amount of tip to one different than the one of the screen and the waitress rudely told me to go back and pick another amount. Definitely will not...

Un lugar muy bonito y tranquilo, buena comida, lastima que no tienen ninguna amabilidad, yo estuve 2 veces y me gusto , la primera vez todo bien en este lugar gaste llegando a los 200 dólares y la tercera vez estuve con 1persona en el bar y enfrente de la cosina todo estaba bien, invito a una persona mas y me dice el bartender q por favor le diéramos espacio por que estaba en la última silla del bar y ellos necesitaban espacio para salir y entrar y lo entendí que el personal necesitaba espacio para entrar y salir, luego llegó el cuarto invitado a las 12:25 de la noche y a todo eso esta vez la cuenta sube mas de 250. Dólares en tres personas y con el cuarto invitado no hay sillas y me dice el bartender que el no puede estar allí de pie q porque no tiene espacio para pasar, si el invitado no es ni gordo para que diga que no pueden pasar, el bartender ni siquiera nos ofreció una mesa para 4 personas y el lo pudo hacer porque tenia mesas desocupadas y le preguntó si podemos usar una mesa larga que está ala pared y dice que no podemos usar sillas en ese lugar y antes de nosotros hubieron personas sentadas allí y que nosotros no podíamos sentarnos por que ellos necesitan espacio!!!!!! Y que al final nos dice que nos puede empacar la comida , ósea !!! ? , o el empleado Yano quería atender a las 12:30 o deveras que fue un estúpido que no sabe como tratar al cliente, fue mas fácil para el ofrecer empacar la comida y yo con una botella de vino a la mitad que ofrecernos una mesa para cuatro personas, eso es lo mas estupido que puede hacer un empleado , lástima que existan personas asi, la verdad no creí que en este lugar traten a las personas de esa manera siendo un lugar hispano y con una comida delicioso y con una cuenta arriba de los 250 dólares . I have visited this place ever since it opened, and I've always appreciated the wonderful environment and service! However, I was here again for the first time in while, and there was a waitress that was not very friendly to my partner and I; as we took a little longer to look at the new options on the menu, the waitress gave an incredibly rude stare of impatience after only checking up on us the second time.
