SweatHouz South Boston Contrast Therapy Studio — Local services in Boston

I would describe the entire experience as janky bougie. The business model isn’t designed to be an actual sauna, but a place for customers to provide free advertising on Instagram or TikTok. In reality, it’s giving a temu experience at a regular spa price. The sauna structure was already falling apart. The floor was peeling up and the gaps in the door let out too much heat so you don’t actually sweat like you would at a real sauna. There also weren’t any private changing areas or a lounge. Great concept, but whatever private equity venture capital firm is juicing it for profit should be let go to build a brand that grows naturally. Otherwise, I see the novelty of it failing to the real deal and filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy...

UPDATE: While the prior review is still accurate, the Service aesthetic has dropped significantly. I left a message asking the manager to return my call and to inquire if I left a necklace there on my last visit. 2+ weeks later, not an email, text or returned call. It took less than 30 seconds to find 5 other Contrast Therapy studios.

Josh and Nico were GENUINELY welcoming, as in "Are we still in Boston or did I end up in Kansas? " When I called to ensure I had their names for the review, Brianna answered the phone and I didn't think smiling had a sound but guess it does! MA is expensive and this service [for most] is a luxury but I will continue to splurge if it ensures this staff can remain. Oh...the therapy...

Josh was there during my first visit to SweatHouz and he had the perfect balance of being informative and knowledgeable, without it feeling like a sales push. He is exactly the type of representation you would want at this business. I've had a phenomenal experience each visit; the check-in process has been efficient, the staff lovely and the facility exceptionally clean. I interacted with Morgan last evening and found her interaction to be quite similar to my experiences with Josh. I haven't interacted as much with her, but she was attentive, thorough and just truly pleasant to work with. It's obvious the Southie SweatHouz has an excellent...
