Yum Yum Yum!! An absolute must go to restaurant. Our waitress Brooke was a delight! So lovely, answered all our questions and was great with our kiddo. She was definitely busy with many tables but we never had our requests or table forgotten.

We sat outside, the area was clean and well maintained. I noticed several food delivery orders go out so I am sure the area knows how incredible the food is. A great sign! They got busy quickly after we arrived as well, another great sign!

The food absolutely did not disappoint!! The flavors and the portions were big and delicious. The cocktails were also a nice component to the meal. Truly one of the best restaurants we have visited in the Boston area. It feels fresh, flavorful and almost tropical like our home in Maui. So many similarities in the food we enjoy. I know this will forever be a place we will visit again and again.

We ordered Veggie Tempura and Dumplings for our appetizers. My husband and I, with our two year old kiddo, loved everything. The sauce with the tempura was addicting. The veggies were so good! Our little one couldn’t get enough of the sweet potatoes. The sauce the dumplings are cooked in is out of this world and I’d like to drink it all the time. It was a perfect balance of umami and tang and velvety smooth broth and is a perfect companion to the dumplings and fresh green onion and micro cilantro on top. I’ll dream of that until I have it again. We probably could have stopped there but we continued! (Spoiler alert: we had leftovers ☺️) For our entrees we ordered the coconut shrimp and the chicken lettuce wraps, as well as the spicy tuna poke. Perfection. Everything. It was amazing!!! The coconut shrimp was served with a spicy but fruity dipping sauce- so good! The shrimp were tender and enjoyably crispy. The chicken lettuce wraps were massive! The presentation was so beautiful and really accentuated the freshness of the dish. The slaw was spicy but kept us going back for more. Well, as much as we had room for. The spicy tuna poke tasted exactly like the poke we enjoy on Maui. It was a nice surprise to be so beautifully reminded of the home we love! The rice was cooked perfectly, the tuna was seasoned exactly like we hoped it would taste. The spicy oil on the plate allowed us to control the heat of our bites which I really appreciated!

I don’t think I could say one negative thing about visiting Fat Baby. We are so excited to come back and share with family and friends who are going to visit Boston. Thanks so much for a great...

Me and my wife walked in and everything started off great. The hostess was really kind and sweet and she was able to accommodate us with a great table. However, everything went to crap once we were assigned our waiter. She did not try to be friendly, as she rushed us with our order from the very beginning. She then proceeded to stop at everyone else's table and acknowledge them but didn't even try to engage with our table; I couldn't even recall her smiling at us. Not once did she even ask us how we were doing. If she had of, she would have realized that my wife didn't get her appetizers yet, and I had to flag down a bust boy just for a refill of water (that was not even cold). We peeked our head trying to find our waiter and she was literally eating with another employee, while we were left there unintended! My wife's frustration with the waiter resulted with us requesting a manager. Here's the kicker. The manager was the same lady that was eating with our waiter. We weren't stupid, it was obvious that the manager and our "so called" waiter were "buddies". The manager came to us with fake empathy and didn't offer to do anything about it. "I'll just talk to her". Well lady what is that going to do with us and our experience? How about offer a discount for the disrespectfulness? Oh sorry, and the food...I ordered the crab Rangoons for the appetizer. Crab Rangoons were slightly overcooked and the filling inside tasted like celery! Who makes celery based crab Rangoons? Yuck. I got the vegetable Lo Mein and added chicken and shrimp. The meat was good but the noodles had no seasoning what so ever. I got an old fashioned that was decent, but was not strong enough. Bottom line, this place is racist! Don't come here if you're not European. Don't say I didn't tell ya!

I'm never coming here again. I had high hopes when i asked if they had soy paper substitute and they said yes. Then everything went downhill from there. We requested to sit outside, I immediately noticed the droopy plastic flowers on the side (not very hygenic and very close to me) my friend and i dont drink and when we were asked what we wanted to drink, the menu has NOTHING but alcoholic bevs. I asked if they had anything without alcohol & the response was they have non alcoholic beer (no thanks) and that they could make any of their beverages not alcoholic but looking at the menu, i couldnt imagine any of that tasting good at all. So the options were get a non alcoholic beer or a very overpriced gross mix. So we just drank water. Then came the actual food and service. I ordered The Golden Hour w Soypaper and my friend ordered a steak sushi special they had. Mine came w fried lotus chips (which seemed to have been fried days ago because they were not crispy or even warm, just cold and soggy) the roll itself was smothered in some siracha sauce that took over the entire flavor profile. They also for some reason put both of our rolls on one dish, no other plates for ourselves or for the very dirty almost empty soy sauce dispenser. It was a bit insulting and we did not want to tip the server well because he seemed ro have a bad attitude the entire time. The ingredients not thought out or executed well and the service was abysmal, never coming here again. Reminded me of hipsters trying too hard and not knowing what theyre doing at all but wanting hype and...

Went here for a lunch date and Fat Baby is definitely my go-to sushi place if I’m looking for reasonably-priced, quality sushi. The rolls were extremely fresh, slightly warm/room temp instead of feeling like they were straight out of the fridge like most other places. And it was DELICIOUS. All of our rolls were super flavorful, and there wasn’t too much of any one ingredient over powering any piece. I can’t remember the exact rolls we picked, but I believe 2 of them were the specialty E.T. And Rainbow rolls. The crab rangoons come in 4 big pieces and are for sure the best I’ve ever had. The crab tastes so fresh, the sauce was delicious. Cant recommend enough. I can not recommend the wagyu bao bun sliders though, it’s a nice idea, but the flavor was lacking and I wished I would gotten something else. 5 stars for everything else though! I spent about $100 (including tip) for 2 appetizers and 3 rolls. The ambience was very nice, both outside and inside, and out server was attentive but also let us enjoy our moment. :) Would totally go back!
