I purchased a set of tires from TOS about four years ago. Covid-19 was in high gear and I wanted to support local businesses. TOS agreed to match Costco's price so I went with them. That process seemed to go well. Fast forward to today. I had a nail in my tire so we took the tire to TOS for repair. I looked at the invoice from the original purchase and realized that the Road Hazard warranty noted was only for 3 years, even though the paperwork said it was supposed to be for 4 years. Obviously, this was a way they could save themselves some money. That is where the fun begins. My wife took the tire in to have it repaired. They said that they would have to charge for the repair. She also requested that they rotate the tires. They said that the tires should also be rebalanced because the tires on the rear of the truck are "heavier". Really? They also said that the tires were in immediate need of replacement. Really? (They are 80k mile tires with approximately 50k miles on them, and no tread wear bands are even close to showing) So, I guess they see a woman in the store and they think they can just sell her any unnecessary service they can dream up! I asked my wife to only have them balance the tire that they patched as I could not be sure they would reinstall the tire correctly on the rim. We did pay them to rotate the tires. What they did not do, was check the pressure in the other tires (they were all low) and they did not bother to reinstall the spare tire back where it belongs. They just threw it in the back of the pickup bed. I called to ask them why, and the technician said it was because they were too busy. Too busy? Really? My wife came in when they first opened and they had no other customers! The manager later called my wife (he was not brave enough to call me) to state that they could not reinstall the spare tire where it belonged because one that they had reinstalled came off once and they were sued. Well, that is reassuring! The bottom line is these guys are just out for your money. ZERO customer service. I would recommend that you go with larger, more established tire companies that have some pride in their work and appreciate their...
Read moreFirst I explain my experience before I got to this place that is I knew I needed a front and alignment for nearly a year before I started looking for a place I would be able to afford. So for about a month I was calling texting and emailing as well as web searches for inexpensive front end alignment shops from here to Sedro-Woolley oh here is Lynnwood. First I called the TOS in Lynnwood and he suggests I call the TOS in Bothell. When I called the one in Lynnwood he provided such excellent customer service first he answered the phone!!! Which being kind of later in the evening I didn't think would happen and then he was very polite he heard me he didn't cut me off when I was talking and he was not short with me I appreciate and value this immediately I'm thinking darn I wish that they did do front alignments there but when I called the place that does the TOS in Bothell they were equally as pleasant to speak with and I instantly made my choice based on those two conversations. Based on the customer service they also had very competitive pricing. My experience at TOS was most excellent I went for a walk I got lost in the woods for about an hour and they totally did not like repeated me call me where you at etc and when I got there they were just totally fine with that I was absent for length of time as I tried to find my way back to the road and excellent job my steering handled so much better with the the alignment that they did and they did all four tire alignment at what a lot of shops were charging for just two wheel alignments there you have it. I am nearly 60 years old I have had a lot experiences with a little shops I do a lot of my own mechanical maintenance on vehicles so I really appreciate the customer service that I got I've had a lot of different kinds of experiences and it was very nice for as a woman to be treated like equal and not...
Read moreI want to tell you a story, but first I need to tell you a little bit about myself, so that you’ll understand why I’m writing this. I’m now a small business with about 30 yrs. of sales experience prior to owning my own business. To me, customer service is everything. You can have the best products in the world, but if you don’t take care of your customer, you will feel the results. But let’s face it, there are a lot of tire stores out there who really know their products & can put you in some good tires at a great price. But what happens when there’s a problem? Well, here’s what Oliver at TOS Tires in Bothell did for me. Back in January I both 4 used tires from Oliver that about 90% of the tread on them. He gave me a great deal & I left satisfied. About 2 weeks ago I had my truck at the dealership have some work done it & I was told by the service advisor that these tires (although they were in great condition) were old & possibly subject to failure at highway speeds. I did not know that. Needless to say, I was no longer comfortable riding on these tires. I paid cash for the tires & didn’t ask for a receipt. After all, they’re used tires, right? I figured that I was going to have to eat the cost of the used tires. I honestly did not believe that Oliver did what he did. There are many people who would have told me, “Sorry, but you bought them as is & they’re not returnable.” Oliver gave me full credit toward a new set of Hercules tires, which by the way ride very smooth. I could not be more satisfied with the way that this turned out. So, if you’re on the Eastside & are looking for a tire store where the customer is taken care of at & after the sale, you need to go see Oliver. You won’t regret...
