Hillcrest Bakery — Restaurant in Bothell

We ordered a cake a month before we picked it up. When we went in to see if they could make this cake we took a picture of what we wanted the fondant bunnies to look like and one of them was a Hello Kitty bunny. The gentleman said yes they could make the cake and then got our number and said the designers would contact us in a couple weeks to talk about the cake. A couple weeks went by and we never heard from them so we called them. They said yes the Hello Kitty bunny cake and that everything was going well. So we were confident with this news. Yesterday we needed to pick the cake up and were waiting them to call and say it was ready but they never called so we went in to pick it up. When we saw the cake none of the bunnies were what we ordered instead they gave us what we didn't want. I definitely wasn't fond of the bunnies that looked like the bunnies they made for us and had seen this type of bunny when I was looking for cakes before I ordered it which is why I gave them a picture of the bunnies that I wanted. I find the bunnies ugly with a lot of black on them. Also one of the bunnies ears had broken off. They never once in the month that they had this order called us to discuss the design and say that it wouldn't work and that they were going to decide for themselves what we wanted. It feels like all they cared about was lying to us and saying yes they could make it and deciding that our feelings or desires for what the cake should look like were unimportant so they would decide for themselves what we wanted and then get paid for it. I think that lying to customers, never communicating to customers just so you could make money is wrong. I will never buy from them again and will not recommend them. Very...

Although I have lived about 20mins or less from her most of my life, I don't spend much time in downtown Bothell or feel compelled to go to Bothell often...Until now😅 I have been to this bakery many years ago. It's definitely been updated inside and it's old world cozy while also being gorgeous 🤷 I took my kids here for a treat about 11:30am. I got the cheese danish (pastry portion was somewhat similar to kringle🤤) and the cream cheese center was perfectly glazed over and so delicious & fresh😋 If I didn't suffer so much by eating sugar (and no, I'm not diabetic 😜) I would have bought two just for me!😂👌

One of my son's got a giant cream cheese-frosted cinnamon roll (contains a modest amount of raisens). He really liked it but picked out the raisens 😅 My other son got a raised donut that was covered in frostine, patriotic sprinkles AND wait for it a big chocolate frosting embellished center top...it turned out to be too much, as I expected 😂 And he felt compelled to ask his brother to eat some of his chocolate frosting, at which point, everything was perfect!

We enjoyed our pasteries in the bakery at one of their cute little tables. Staff was friendly/helpful and there were so many options to choose from. They do have a seasonal cake donut: apple, or pumpkin, were the flavors I heard about for that.

The had some specialty cupcakes that looked like a grill with food on it! The also had some rather decadent looking bars that were topped with a large fleck of gold leaf😍 Such a nice touch of you want to impress someone 😉

I paid cash. Didn't see a bathroom. The place is pretty small. Walked across the street, after parking in gravel park in ng by Baskin n Robbins. They have coffee too! ...

The best bakery I’ve been to in a long time 🙌hands down! From the moment I opened the door and heard the charming little chimes, I was greeted with a warm smile and a sense that something special was about to happen. Hillcrest Bakery is a step above the rest.

The elegant displays of decadent treats are absolutely mesmerizing. I almost forgot how to speak 🤩there were so many delightful options to choose from! I ordered my go-to iced Americano, along with an apple fritter and a maple Boston cream doughnut.

Let me tell you 😋these pastries weren’t just made to look good. They were the real deal. My apple fritter was like biting into a soft, decadent pillow generously packed with tender apple pieces, and the glaze stayed on beautifully with every bite. But the real showstopper? The maple Boston cream. I’ve never had anything like it. Instead of overly sweet whipped filling, it was filled with rich, velvety custard and topped with true maple flavor balanced perfectly and tucked into the fluffiest dough.

It’s clear this bakery puts immense care into both their craft and their customers. The quality, the passion, the love 😍 it all shines through in every bite.
