I will start off by saying that this is my favorite conveyer belt sushi spot in all of greater Seattle. I come here every 1-2 weeks and I always get a consistently good experience. The sushi quality has always been surprisingly good for being a conveyer belt. The meat to rice ratio on the nigiri pieces are always good. The rolls also have the perfect rice ratio. They never skimp here. This place can get very busy and the staff is always super attentive, they have a really good system down. There is parking in the area but can be a little tough during busy hours. There is free street parking and a parking lot in front of the plaza just up the hill. This place can get very busy since it's grown a lot in popularity. If it's packed when you arrive, you should register your party on the waitlist on the little kiosk to the right as soon as you enter. Even if the waitlist for a table seems long, it'll move very quickly and worth the short wait. I'm obsessed with this spot and it's been my go to for some quick sushi. It's a great value proposition and you get quality sushi for what you pay for. Sushi Zone will continue to get my support for a long time with their consistent track record.

HOH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST SUSHI SPOT. High quality fresh fish, phat portions, and great prices. I swear to everything that is holy—YOU HAVE TO COME HERE. They serve specialty cuts of fish (fatty tuna, toro, uni, amaebi) at neighborhood prices with thick portions. I got the chirashi bowl and it came with twelve HUGE slices of fish. Everything—from the conveyor belt sushi to the à la carte options—was incredibly fresh. The toro MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH. Literally the pork belly of the sea. The salmon was tender and luxurious. I also ordered a few nigiri options and a soft shell crab roll. Again, the prices compared to the portion size are ridiculous in the best way possible. Every other sushi spot (especially Sushi Koushi) is overpriced and a rip-off compared to Sushi Zone. Every single dish is a knockout. This place is truly one of Bothell’s pride and joy. Service was friendly and fast. The interior is clean, and the conveyor belt had plenty of options. There’s even a second belt on the bottom for hot dishes like teriyaki chicken, gyoza, and tempura. The exterior is unassuming, but it opens up into a surprisingly spacious dining area. Plenty of street parking, too.

Verdict: You can do better. If the idea of eating plain Jasmine rice, fried food and half cooked ramen is your jam, this is the place to go. 1. The nigiri was pitiful; given the proportion of the piece to plate, I thought the food was dessicated after revolving around the belt all day. 2. The rice used was not correct (they used long grain Jasmine instead of short grain+rice vinegar). 3. The ramen had mushrooms which were not fully hydrated and the ramen egg was literally a hard boiled egg (not even marinated). For every one raw dish on the upper belt, there were three fried dishes in the lower portion to make up for the volume. The belt was populated with signs to make the belt look full. The effort to find a redeeming dish was like experiencing an abusive relationship. Despite trying everything, the little voice in the back of your head that screams "RUN!!!!" might be onto something. The two stars goes towards the wait staff and the ample supply of pickled ginger. The staff were attentive and fast. The pickled ginger allowed me to wipe my pallet after each punishing dish and forget it ever happened.

I’ll start by telling you a story. During Steve job’s college days, he was the typical broke college student. One day he was so hungry he decided to go to his usually diner. The owner of the diner, knowing Steve’s situation and how he couldn’t pay so they dropped dollar bill and said, “hey isn’t this yours?”. Later in life, after Steve Jobs became the ceo of apple, he returned to that diner and paid that owner 100-fold for preserving his dignity. The moral of the story was the store owner treated everyone regardless of who they were with dignity. I love the chefs at sushizone. Their Mushashi bowl is fairly priced and the pieces of sushi are ginormous. It’s my local sushi spot that I’ve come to enjoy and frequent quite often. I always order one mushashi bowl and one cup of water. I know I can’t give a big tip so every time I dine there I make sure to clean up after myself even going as far as bringing my one bowl and one cup near the kitchen. Today as I went to pay, the tension from the servers who passive aggressively pointed at the receipt and told me how much tip I should leave left me feeling so degraded, and so belittled. I replied so how was your service today? Was bringing me one bowl and one cup of water so much work you feel the sense of entitlement that you have to make me feel unwelcomed? I mean.. it’s Sushi that comes on a conveyor belt.. I mean I would understand if I ordered massive amounts of drinks and food and made these servers walk back and forth and then I left no tip. Unfortunately, to the owner they have lost my business and for me, I have lost a local sushi place I’ve come to really enjoy. After a whole day of studying I’m left hungry and I’ve come to rely on their mushashi bowl to fill my soul. Thank you for your care in creating such an amazing bowl, I hope you can convey that until your servers and that one day when I can afford to tip bigger I look forward to coming back, until then I will feel unwelcomed at...

We chose this place because it was the closest to us, and it was open late. I believe 9:30 p.m. when we walked in there was a couple of people picking up orders one family of six eating at a table and a few couples here and there by the belt. I asked for a comfortable private place and the woman seemed irritated. We ordered our veggie stuff because that's what we eat we even ordered a couple of things that didn't sound that great. They ended up being our favorite. The crankier woman had as pick up the old veggie stuff off the belt. Not so fresh! I can't imagine for the people who eat the fish. When I asked for some hot water for my tea bag that could have gone in a pot it was big enough, she poured boiling water on my hand which I swear was in purpose and didn't say she was even sorry. On the other hand The Other Woman was incredibly polite and the more we talk she even got sweeter. The food that was actually made for us was really fresh and really good for the price. We will go back but I'll be aware of the hot water LOL. And do my best to get the sweeter woman to help us. All in all I'd still give it a five out of five for what it is. And I'm glad it's close enough to where we live that it's almost too convenient I should be making it at home. I do have to say that lunchtime I guess is really busy with college kids so I was told by another customer. Other than that I would say...

This place scratches the itch for conveyer belt sushi (a.k.a. kaitenzushi) and does it satisfyingly well. There are a decent assortment of sushi options to pick from ranging from standard rolls (e.g. California rolls, etc.) to more unique creations such as the Super Duper roll or Fantasy roll (my current fave).

What makes Sushi Zone more unique than other kaitenzushi places is that it has a double conveyer belt that carts hot items on the bottom. This gives customers quicker and easier access to foods such as teriyaki chicken and yakisoba without having to order from a server.

Service is quick and prompt, with servers regularly checking on you to refill your beverage. Whenever you grab a hot item that generally has sauce on the side (e.g. egg rolls, crab rangoon, tempura, etc.), the servers are quick to notice and will provide you with a little dish of the right sauce.

Overall, I really like Sushi Zone and have taken friends and family there multiple times. The food and service are great and the price is very reasonable. It certainly doesn’t compare to dining at a regular sushi restaurant, but no conveyer belt places do and it would be unfair to hold it to such a standard. The next time you're craving "fast food" sushi, this is the...
