I was hesitant to visit this location due to anothers review and also having experienced not so great customer service at other higher end athletic stores such as lululemon for which I have attributed to not being a size 4, obviously rich, etc. However, I have experienced great customer service at other Athleta's so I thought, even if with the not so great review, it might be a good experience because Athleta, to me, is more laid back than other higher end athletic stores and welcoming of all sizes. And I was right. For a few mins. The girl that helped me in the front was great. However, the woman in the dressing room made me feel very unwelcomed. She was dismissive from the start and asked I "let her know if I need anything" ...alright that's fine but, it's also customary for sales associates to check on you from time to time right? I was in there for a very long time as I had several things to try on and not once did she ask how I was doing. I thought that's odd, but maybe that's just the Athleta way, they leave you in peace. Or this lady just had a certain personality and I shouldn't take it personal. However, I noticed she was bending over backwards to help the other two ladies in the dressing room. Asking how they were doing constantly, getting them new sizes, offering her opinion. Meanwhile I'm left forgotten. I actually did want to try on something different but at that point I didn't even want to wave her down to ask. My worries came to fruition. I was friendly as always so it's not like she was avoiding a rude customer. It was a very disapointing experience. I've worked in retail and have been a server so I am very understanding and never complain but this felt like it was on purpose. I was actually planning on buying a pair of $120 leggings but left...
Read moreJust do yourself a favor and go to a different location. One girl who worked here was very nice but she could not make up for everyone else. I got asked about a hundred times what I was looking for and every time I said some leggings for running they kept being like oh you mean just for day to day wear right, not for working out? And I’d say no for going running and they’d say it didn’t look like I actually needed them for running, wasn’t I sure I just wanted the ones that were for wearing day to day. I buy Athleta a lot, I know the different styles, I knew which pants I wanted but no one would tell me where they were and when I found them on my own they took them and said no these are for working out, you need the ones for loungewear. I’m sorry but what?? I said over and over I wanted them for running, I knew which ones I wanted, I found them, and they mad every effort to not let me buy them. Just seriously go to a different location or to a...
Read moreDoesn’t carry plus sizes, and acknowledged they were the only Athleta store in the area that doesn’t. I was told last week they were no longer carrying plus sizes because they couldn’t sell them. Given some other reviews I’ve read, from how they’ve treated larger customers, it’s not surprising they stopped coming in and giving their money to the store. I’m a huge athleta lover. I was literally wearing 2 pieces into the store. My home store knows me by name. It’s rare a day goes by without me wearing it. I and my supportive family and friends will happily spend our money where we’re valued- at literally any other athleta store. If the management here feels like inclusivity and opening the exercise world to bigger people isn’t a priority in their store, or at least realize that how they treat customers affects the breadth of their customer base and their bottom line, maybe they should go work at a lululemon or something. Athleta isn’t the...
