Super cute salon at a very convenient location! I got my hair cut and colored by Sophia who was adorable and professional. Everyone there was really friendly.

Its definitely a more professional salon than your typical neighborhood hair salon. They schedule your appointment via text and find out the perfect time for you. They have you send in pictures ahead of time so that they’re ready and prepared for what you want done at your appointment. Then they send you a text reminder before hand so you don’t forget! They knew me from the picture I sent and greeted me when I entered. It felt very personal. I like that they offer snacks to their customers, even though water just sounded good. The salon is very clean and beautifully decorated. It’s not overcrowded or loud. Loved the shampoo and rinse station. It was very relaxing and Sophia didn’t tug or pull while doing it (yes- that’s been a problem before).

Overall love my cut and color. The color is exactly what I wanted. I just wanted to trim and I like that she didn’t cut much length off and was mindful of that. I’m looking forward to the next appointment. Happy to have finally found a hair stylist I like in Utah! Thanks Sophia!

Tip: Because this is a more professional hair studio, pricing is going to be higher. They require a $50 deposit and my haircut and color was $200. If you are the kind of person that would prefer to pay lower prices for your typical cut and color this would not be the place for you. I absolutely loved Allie Scott Hair studio. They really do treat you like a queen and it feels like the sweet women who attend you are your personal friends. Which is why it’s tough for me to leave a negative review. Of the experience itself, I cannot praise them enough. Staff were kind, friendly, lovely in every way. The ambience is relaxing, and I enjoyed “treating myself” because I don’t get to very often. The lower stars are for the price and the results. They did quote me on price beforehand, but I still feel justified in my disappointment because I did not leave with what I wanted. For that much money, I should have. I discussed what I wanted with my stylist and we seemed to be on the same page. 4 hours later, I left the salon with almost exactly the same hair as I came in with. I’d hoped for summer-y balayage blonding and came away with the world’s most subtle highlights and a trim. But if I’d asked them to fix it, I would have been there another 2-3 hours and I couldn’t spare that. Nor could I spare the money for several more bowls of color. I also really struggle with feeling overly-demanding, and I couldn’t tell them I wasn’t satisfied. They’d already spent so much time on me. I guess that part is my own fault, but it is what it is. I found ASH Studio by way of Instagram - I was particularly interested in the NBR method as I have extremely fine hair.

I made an appointment with ASH and requested Maylynn (as I felt like her and I would make a great fit).

My first time in ASH was good but I wasn't 100% on board because I felt like my color was a bit darker then I wanted - with that being said Maylynn and I communicated after the fact and she walked me through to her end game. Communication is everything in my book.

Second visit, She had a plan! Her plan included a file in her phone of my hair, my hair goals and her vision - this is where she gained my trust and loyalty.

Third visit, after cut and color of my hair she installed NBR! She meticulously placed each bead with precision and confidence, custom colored the extension, oh and let's talk about placement - incredible!

The Salon is easy to find, clean and warm feeling - they created a space that speaks to me. Details were considered, and I sure do appreciate that. They have a beautiful selection of products, who doesn't love Oribe!

Quality of Service, Beautiful Space, Kind Professionals who truly care about my hair - I am a client who doesn't mind spending more money because I know I will get me the quality I'm seeking.
