Who wants to take care of someone coming in 20 minutes before closing time on a Friday evening? John did and he was fantastic! I have had limited time lately so we came in later than I usually like to. We purchased our past couple of vacuums from Swiss Boy because the products are high quality and the customer service can't be beat. We had a Riccar vacuum we purchased about 12-15 years ago that we wanted to replace. John answered all our questions and was able to give us explanations to help us understand the value we would get in a higher end model. It wasn't a high pressure tactic, he could see that I was interested in the upper model, I just needed to understand if it would be worth the additional money (an extra motor, longer hose, more metal parts, fewer plastic, etc.) Then, he stayed late to put together a brand new vacuum so we could leave with what we wanted. Never once did he hint that he needed to leave. It was always he was done when my wife and I were comfortable with what we wanted. And yes, he does have long hair but no, he is not a druggie the other review spoke of. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the products and services their shop provides. Read moreWent in to ask them a question about our Kenmore Vacuum because we needed to find to correct bag for replacement.... The older woman who was there on 12.26.17 at 9:00 am said they do not do Kenmore or work on them, which is understandable... not every vacuum shop will work on every vacuum... so we just simply asked for some suggestions on where we could go or resources. Since they deal with vacuums all the time, it's natural they would be knowledgeable on this issue. The lady was rude and said she could not help us, and that she didn't know what to tell us, and treated us as an inconvenience because we dare bring a "Kenmore" into her shop and ask her a question about it. My wife said, "so is a brand new vacuum just junk then" and she said.... "it might be" . I will never go back to this place... they do not understand what customer service is and treat people rude and condescending. I will also make sure that I share this experience with all of my 10,000 + facebook followers, and encourage all them to do likewise. The owners should give that lady a raise right? If by chance that did happen to be the owner, I'll make sure to take the time to attend your bankruptcy hearing. DO NOT EVER GO IN THERE...
Read moreI usually don't have time to write reviews, but Jon has easily earned my business and I'd like to share my experience. I have an old Riccar Radiance that's over 12 years old and I needed a replacement hose. The problem is that Riccar has updated this model several times over the years and it's very difficult to find any relevant information about the replacement parts. Jon was very helpful and friendly over the phone and it shows that he cares about his business and especially his customers. Long story short, he spent a lot of time talking to me and he even called Riccar to confirm what exact part & adapter I need for my specific model vacuum. To sweeten the whole experience his price was also significantly cheaper than anywhere else I could find online or local. Jon's website is new and he's furiously working on updating the content and wrapping up loose ends, but I would much rather do business with a small personally owned business like his with a quirky website instead of a large company with horrible customer service where nobody knows anything about vacuums.
