I really like Fiiz; it's my favorite of the specialty soda shops here. But I honestly do not know what is going on with the Bountiful location. On top of the world's worst drive-thru (like structurally; the parking lot is messed up), any time I have a bad experience (especially with customer service) at Fiiz, it's this location. Every time.
Today I stopped by to get a drink and a snack; I have to take medication at 4, and I have to take it with food, and today I decided to treat myself. Ordered a soda from the menu, requested cream be added, and then ordered a sugar cookie. The woman at the window repeated all this back to me as she entered it in. She charged me, and we pulled forward to wait for my drink. I thought it didn't sound like enough money for what I had ordered, but they were busy and had us pulled forward, so I didn't get a chance to ask about it until they delivered my drink. Just a drink. With no cream. I asked about the sugar cookie, and was informed they didn't have any. "Did [the girl at the window] not tell you that?" the Fiiz employee asked. No, she did not. I asked about the cream. Could I please have it added to my drink? She looked at me like I had brain damage. "We can make you a new drink with cream and charge you for it," she said. I wasn't super jazzed to pay for a whole new drink, and she got angry and haughty and said, "Well, I wasn't the one on the iPad!" I didn't say you were? I just wanted you to help me find a solution to the problem? I didn't think all the critical thinking was stored in the iPad; my bad.
I checked the menu after I left with my wrong soda and no cookie (I'll have to go somewhere else to get something else to eat before I can take my medicine), and cream costs 59¢. I would have paid for it, but I shouldn't have to pay for a whole extra soda on top of it, and since you made two mistakes on my order, it feels like 59¢ is maybe reasonable to write off, as a business, to try to fix at least one of those mistakes....
Read moreMy family and I have gone to this location off an on for almost a year. Their drink quality is inconsistent, as sometimes my unique mix comes out perfect and other times it tastes weak with not enough puree, or even worse it comes with 2 inches of puree. It seems like since I ask for extra puree, they 'show me' by giving me extra, extra, extra puree. Not what I want! However, I was willing to live with their inconsistencies up until last week.
My wife and I went in and we ordered 5 drinks and, because I bring in my own mugs, I prefer to order from the counter as opposed to the self-order kiosk. It took the girls almost 10 minutes to take our order. Then, once they got our money, they actually started moving even slower. Five minutes elapsed and not even one drink had been made. Over the course of the next 5 minutes, 3 of the last 4 drinks showed up; however, the last drink sat on the soda machine for almost 10 more minutes. I kept asking the girls where my last drink was, and they kept reassuring me with an "it's coming". All the while, they were counting out their tips and dividing them up. It just blew my mind! Not only do businesses like this eke out more money in tips from us customers, but then they waste OUR time while they are not only counting their loot, but doing so in front of us customers, whilst ignoring us. My wife remarked how lucky they were that I have gotten older and calmer, as, in my younger days, I would have demanded my money back and let loose with a tongue lashing. It no longer surprises me how unprofessional and unable to exhibit proper work ethic these younger workers are. I can only hope the manager sees this and deals with those "workers". Head to Swig or if it is Sunday, drive to 13th South in SLC and...
Read moreRecently, I have been a loyal customer at Fiiz for many years and have always enjoyed their excellent drinks. However, over the past month or two, I have been consistently disappointed with the service and drink quality. Im not sure if they are under new management or a new batch of untrained employees but it sure feels like it. Despite giving them multiple chances, my drink orders have been consistently incorrect. One particular instance that stands out is when I ordered a raspberry zest, but ended up receiving what tasted like lemon water. When I asked for a replacement, I was informed that they were actually out of raspberry zest, and my boyfirend mentioned hearing them discuss this a little bit but couldnt make everything out at the window. Which begs the question why this information wasn't communicated earlier. I asked them to just make me a zen water instead. I did not spend my money to receive lemon water 😒 It's disheartening to hear staff discussing being out of ingredients while customers are still placing orders and not letting them know. I hope that the Fiiz team can address these issues to ensure that all customers receive the quality service...
