A family member and I attended the beginners workshop that lasted about 4 hours. We chose from the provided patterns and selected our glass colors of choice. She had many glass options so it was fun to have so many options of glass colors. Tara was wonderful in instructing us in detail about each skill while also instilling confidence in us to perform the skill we were learning. We each had our station with all the necessary tools and safety gear. We were able to practice glass cutting before cutting on our pretty glass pieces, which is so satisfying once you get the hang of it. I never imagined myself completing a project as detailed as this, but I did it! And it was so fun! Tara was helpful and mindful of all her students, no matter the skill level or however many questions we had. There were many repeat students who came back to create another stained glass piece, which meant to me that this class is a fun one to repeat. I look forward to taking her 5 week beginners course in the fall as I think I found a new fun hobby -...
Read moreI have been learning ceramics at this studio for a few years and itâs been an awesome experience every time. My favorite instructor, Helen, is so patient, knowledgeable, professional, and encouraging. Sheâs taught both hand-building and how to throw (using the wheel), and in each area sheâs increased my understanding of how to work with clay. Iâve really appreciated her instruction through the years, and her passion for this art form.
The facility is fully-equipped and has a very relaxed vibe. It seems like everyone you talk to, student or teacher, is positive and kind. Itâs such a great place to go whether your excited to master a technique or just want a calm place to recharge. Itâs also a great place to converse and meet new friends.
Iâm looking forward to creating more pieces as I continue attending this pottery studio. And if youâre anxious about beginning or donât know where to start, definitely ask to take a class from Helen. Sheâs a...
