I stopped by here to look for some professional skirts and I was shocked at the condition of this store. I’m used to Burlington Coat Factory stores with wood paneling, several aisles and sections within the aisles breaking up casual and professional clothes and being huge- this store is an absolute mess. Half of the production floor is totally sectioned off with ugly panels and absolutely everything is shoved into long racks that run the length of the store in sections only by gender and age. Slacks mixed in with skinny jeans labeled “pants” and blouses with tee shirts labeled “short sleeves”. It looks like a thrift store. There’s nothing wrong with thrift stores, but it’s not what you expect from a Burlington, and certainly not what I wanted to look through. I managed to find a couple of statement pieces but no fitting rooms. I asked a worker here and she said, “we don’t have fitting rooms anymore.” I don’t know in what world a clothing store would expect to sell anything (or at least keep returns low) with no fitting rooms. The loss prevention could be stepped up instead and I’ll explain more later. I put the pieces back and found a belt set, jumbo silk hair scrunchies and a tube of toothpaste to at least not have wasted a trip, and waited 25 minutes to get to a register because only 3/12 were open. When I got home I put the bag on my table and didn’t touch it for several hours because I needed to make more trips to find what I was looking for. At night, I came home and unloaded all my bags to find out the scrunchie set I picked out & paid for was missing from the bag. I will be disputing that part of the purchase with my credit card company but I can’t help but feel a little insulted that fitting rooms were removed (most likely) due to theft as if the loss is entirely on customers and prevention is nonexistent, and the first time I come here, I have items paid for & not placed in my bag. It’s extremely disappointing, and I hope nobody else makes the mistake of...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible! One of the worst experiences of my life! A roommate and I had went up to our local Burlington to grab and outfit for a wedding we had to attend the following weekend, and the experience was one of the most embarrassing experiences of my life! After strolling around for a couple minutes.. I eventually found everything I needed and proceeded to go to the checkout along with my roommate. Excited for the event, and the new clothes we were purchasing, we went to the counter to take care of our purchase. Between me and my roommate we had a couple hundred dollars worth of clothes which we were both excited to get home and try on. The cashier told us they didn't accept cash at the register. Told us we had to go to a specific register to pay with cash... Seemed a little off right off the bat, but thinking nothing of it we went over to cash out. As we were getting ready to pay four cops walk in the store. They immediately walk towards us and proceeded to tell us to put our hands behind our backs. Completely dumbfounded I asked the cops what was exactly going on here as they continued to walk us out of the store after being handcuffed. They continued to place me in the back of a cop car and told me I was being arrested for shop lifting. NEVER IN MY LIFE have I stolen ANYTHING let alone a discounted twenty dollar shirt I was getting on sale for ten dollars. I felt COMPLETELY DISRESPECTED and HUMILIATED! After a brief conversation with the cashier, they continued to take my picture and tell me I was banned from Burlington for a YEAR for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I AM FURIOUS ABOUT BEING DISRESPECTED AND MISREPRESENTED BY YOUR BOYNTON BEACH BURLINGTON EMPLOYEE! I will proceed to contacting the district manager about this ABSOLUTELY...
Read moreSerious Privacy Violation in Women’s Dressing Room
I am absolutely shocked and disturbed by what happened during my recent visit to Burlington.
While in the women’s dressing room with my daughter, she noticed that a camera was positioned toward the mirror, which clearly reflects the inside of the dressing stalls. That means whoever monitors that camera has a full view of customers while they are undressed and changing.
I took photos as proof, because this is completely unacceptable and a violation of basic privacy. My daughter and I were unknowingly exposed on camera while changing, and this is incredibly upsetting.
I would like to formally file a complaint with both the store and the store manager. This raises serious concerns about safety, privacy, and legality. Where is the protection for customers — especially women and young girls — in what should be a private space?
I expect Burlington to take this matter seriously, investigate immediately, and ensure this never...
