Firehouse Subs Boynton West — Restaurant in Florida

My wife and I decided to go here yesterday (6/17/19), and was immediately greeted by a man behind the counter, along with the rest of the staff. The man began introducing the menu to us, and was extremely friendly. I later discovered that he was the new owner who just recently acquired the business. He helped us decide what we wanted, made sure our order came out fast, and also offered us a free cookie. He came around the restaurant a few times to check with the diners if everything was good or if they needed anything. I have to say that my experience here was absolutely wonderful... the service was prompt and friendly, food tastes great, and although it may cost a dollar or two more than Subway, it is very obvious once you bite in that is is worth the price difference. Restaurant was also very clean. Before I left the owner gave me a coupon to come back with some deals on it, which I certainly will be using!...

This Firehouse has gone downhill recently. I visited this Firehouse yesterday, one staff memeber was rude and other was brand new, and there was no manager. I ordered for dine in, and asked for the military discount (ID was provided) and was told they don't do military discount. I have visited this Firehouse and many others on a weekly basis and there is always a military discount. I told them there was and that it's usually a free drink. I said ask a manager, and the girl went to back of the kitchen and came back and said no discount. I asked for manager and she said no manager was there. I asked for the owners name but no contact was provided.

Is this under new management or ownership? Are the employees all new and not trained properly?

I am dumbfounded by the new owner that took over (Rob) He hired my 17 year old (high schooler) son almost 2 months ago and told him he would call him with a schedule. He had him come in for his uniform no schedule. After that it took 2 weeks till i called to ask what was going on with his schedule he said its been alot going on and that he would have him come in the following week for 3 days. So my son went in on a Saturday and he told my son I'll call you when you're schedule is ready....1 month later still waiting. I can not believe a grown man would do this to a young man that was excited to have his first job and save money for college and car but yet he has his Son there with a job. Shame on you Rob!
