I was calling them to see if they fix what my problem was. I only got out the sentence:: " I have an HP laptop that slid off my lap and hit the carpet on the corner and cracked the hinge, so do you fromix anything like that?" The immediate reply was "do not bother to fix it, because it will cost more money than your laptop is worth". It was then that I responded, my laptop was purchased a year ago for $2000 so certainly it would not cost that much". As I started to explain further what I had, he cut me off and told me that there is no such thing as a $2000 laptop. I could not believe his condescending attitude and the tone of his voice. I do not know who is the one that will read this, but there are laptops in the $2000 - $4000 range too. By this young man's comment it seems if he is only aware of the "Wal-Mart" world of computers of under the $400 price point. That is scary and certainly not the repair shop for me. Plus by the response received, I would not even bring my inexpensive laptop to them if it needs repairing down the road. I have been in business myself in this county for 34 years and I assure you that if I treated customers like that on the phone, I would not have made it that long. Suggestion: instead of basically stating that I was lying, why did he not ask me a detailed question instead of TELLING me that there was no such thing? His comments just shows me that he is not very knowledgeable about the product of his business. Obviously I will not be using your business, which you really didn't seem to want anyway. However I would take this as a lesson for you dealing with your potential customers in the future uhh I and how you come across by what you say and how you say it. Read moreAdam at TCTS is a lifesaver. My Lenovo computer wouldn't turn on after I tried to replace the battery. All the instructional videos made it look simple but I soon learned it isn't. Unknown to me, I had scratched important parts of the motherboard and caused damage that is virtually undetectable to the non-expert.
As soon as I explained the situation to Adam, he told me to bring it into the shop right away and he was there to greet me and give me a detailed explanation of the problem. The damage turned out to be worse than either of us anticipated. A three-hour job ended up taking eight, and it was touch and go for a while as to whether my computer could even be repaired. He and his staff went well beyond what most other businesses would do and made every effort to fix the motherboard, which in the end--thankfully--was successful. The turnover time was just two days, so I didn't miss important work by having to wait very long, and which would have been far worse had I needed to get a new computer.
I was overjoyed when picking up the computer to see that it was again fully functional. Once more, Adam explained fully what had happened and how to avoid future problems. He charged exactly what he said was the flat fee up front and there was no attempt to add more to the cost. He was fully professional and I appreciated very much his genuine concern for me as a customer.

I met Adam when I had a total systems computer crash over a weekend. The company that had been handling my computers did not even return my phone calls!
