As prom season approaches once more, I cannot help but think back to my own experience with this company that took place in March 2017. I didnât post a review at the time because I was just ready to forget about the service I received . I was truly exhausted and frustrated and knew I wouldnât get anywhere with the company due to what all I had to deal with at the time. I placed my order on March 6th and was told my order would be received in 1-2 weeks. I knew the dress would have to be altered and delivery was a time sensitive issue. I âchattedâ with an online sales representative before placing the order just for this very reason. I was told I would receive the dress so I placed the order. Once the order was placed I was given an expected delivery date of March 14. The tracking information on the package constantly stated âin transitâ. When the package did not arrive on March 14 I called the store. I spoke with a sales clerk who informed me she would help me locate the package but to be patient because it was also bridal season and they were busy assisting brides coming into the store and other customers as well. I waited a couple of days and called again- same response. I waited again and called - same response. The next time I called I asked to speak with the manager and was given his email. I was never afforded the opportunity to speak with him. I sent him an email from my husbandâs email , no response. My husband called the store and was given the same redundant messages I was given. By now, my husband is aggravated and decides to try to locate the package on his own. He took it upon himself to call post offices where the package had been sent and spoke to employees to try to find our daughterâs dress. This was much more effort than the sales reps or the manager at the store had offered to do! I called the store again and still no assistance!!! All I was told is that they were extremely busy with customers- I WAS A CUSTOMER!!! HELP ME TOO!!! Needless to say the package finally arrived far too late to get the dress altered. We had to shop for another dress at a local store, who by the way, altered the one we purchased for free, because my daughter was in tears while she was trying to find a replacement dress. I was truly disgusted by the fact that I NEVER spoke to the manager and that even once I emailed him I never got a reply. The sales associate gave me the same response over and over, never resolving the situation. I was truly exhausted by this store and their lack of customer service, plus I NEVER got a response from the manager when I asked for a refund. I hope their service has improved over time and they can now handle their online customers and their store customers with courtesy and professionalism.    Read moreI recently came across the Madame Bridal website and found a dress that my daughter fell in love with instantly. I called Madame Bridal on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 to ask if they had the dress in store or if it shipped from an outside source if it was located in the store I planned to drive the 3 hours to pick it up in person; however, I was told it shipped from an outside location. After asking if the dress (size 2) was in stock, I was told yes and if ordered by Friday, September 4th (morning) it would ship and be delivered by Monday, September 14, 2015. These were specific questions asked which would affect my decision to order this dress from Madame Bridal. The answers I received from the salesperson influenced my decision to purchase this dress on 9/4/15. Of note, I am a working mom and needed to wait until Friday payday to order this dress. I immediately received an email confirmation saying "Thank you for placing an order with us. You will receive an updated email with your expected delivery within 2 Business Days.â Fast forward to Tuesday morning, I call Madame Bridal a. because I never received an updated email and b. never received a reply to a message I sent using the popup service box on their website. I spoke with Simon (9/8/15 @ 10:04am) who said they had just gotten in the office and that he had to check on the order and would get back to me by the end of day. At 1:36 pm the same day a received a call from female store representative who stated " We just called the company and they said the dress isn't in stock" When explaining the above info and asking why was I told different by the previous salesperson I just got the repeated answer of "the company said the dress isn't in stock". Her solution was to offer my a size four dress instead when my daughter is barely a size 2.
What I do not understand is why you immediately take the money from my bank account without versifying the availability of the dress. I am now a week behind and $146.32 short on finding a Homecoming dress for my daughter's senior year. The store did state that they would return the money; however, as most of us know it typically takes 5-7 business days for that to happen. Being a working income family I do not have an extra $150.00 laying around to put out for another dress, I actually need to wait until the money is returned.
I cannot begin to describe how disappointed and upset I am with this Madame Bridal experience. In addition, to make it worst, I need to let my daughter know that the dress is not available and we need to wait until the money they withdrew from our account is back in there to look for...
   Read moreI stumbled upon Madame Bridal when I called there for an evening gown that I saw on Google. Immediately I knew the woman that I was speaking with was incredibly honest and knowledgeable. She explained the gown I was inquiring about wasnât appropriate for the black tie wedding I was attending. I really appreciated her honesty. Madame Bridal is clearly miles ahead of any dress shops I have ever dealt with. Living in Bergen County NJ I have the âBESTâ dress shops just a stoneâs throw away, in Manhattan, NJ, Westchester and Connecticut. But none of them can come close to the extraordinary experience I had with Madame Bridal. Helen and Simon at MB are skilled experts at helping women find the âperfect dress.â Helen was incredibly patient and took a genuine interest in helping me . She gave me the best advice and showed me the most elegant evening gowns. This Memorial Day weekend while taking my niece to her bridesmaid fitting at a dress shop in New Jersey, I noticed a lovely Mon Cheri evening gown. The saleswoman wouldnât let me try it on because I didnât have an appointment. I held it up and just loved it. She said I looked like a size 2 or 4 and there was only one 4 left and I probably wouldnât be able to get this size 4 anyway. The minute I got home, I immediately called Helen at Madame Bridal in Florida, and told her I saw the most beautiful dress while my niece was being fitted. She told me even though it was Saturday evening on a holiday weekend she could order the gown. She assured me that her husband would process the order immediately. Helen had me measure myself accurately. She talked me out of going up a size as it would need too much altering. And any woman that special orders knows it canât be returned if itâs too small. I gave her my measurements and she told me I needed a size 4 and it would need minimal alterations. Then she told me of the one size 4 and said I would get it. :) Simon processed the order and sent me the order information. All done on a Saturday night on a Holiday weekend!! Within 10 days my gown arrived from Mon Cheri. LOVELY, ELEGANT and PERFECT! It needs minimal alterations as Helen stated. Wow! She is an expert on every level. It gets even better! My lovely gown was 150 dollars less at Madame Bridal than any other shops on Google. Then, a week after my gown arrived I received stunning crystal earrings from Helen as a gift to wear with my gown.
