I’ve never really called any company out on bad customer service or experience but I have to let you all know what happened in my experience with JJ Alterations in the Boynton Beach Mall. My first time going was pleasant, I needed a pair of khaki pants hemmed. They did a good job. Unfortunately when I went to pay for them as I dropped them off, the lady behind the counter tried to talk me into buying a leather purse from her, she bragged about how it was as hand made etc. I repeatedly expressed to her I was not interested, I paid for the service and left. Returned a few days later , picked them up , no problem. So on Oct 23 I returned to drop off the khakis and a polo to have dry cleaned, I was told it would take 8-9 days. I returned on 11/2 to pick them up and they said they weren’t ready, then they said they couldn’t find them. Then they found them. Easy mistake. I dropped off a 2 piece pantsuit with a scarf and a white shirt to be dry cleaned. That was the last time my suit was ever seen by me. I was told it would be ready on 10/10, I went to pick it up 10/11. I was told no you already picked it up, yet I had my receipt. I followed up multiple times since and they said they do not care, that they don’t have my stuff. They threatened to call the mall security. They wouldn’t talk to me refused to even think about reimbursement! They are horrible people!! They did let it slip out that they do not do their own dry cleaning, they take it somewhere here in Boynton but refused to tell me where!! I went to 2 different dry cleaning places in Boynton and the second one admitted they did the dry cleaning for JJ Alterations. I spoke with Jamie, told her what happened and she specifically remembered the owner of JJ Alterations picking up my order on 11/8!!! She showed me the receipt! She remembers the suit and the scarf! And then she told me JJ Alterations had called her several times asking her to look again and see if she still had my stuff. But, she had the receipt for when JJ Alterations had already picked it up. Now this whole time, JJ Alterations has been lying and blaming , when all they had to do was take ownership of their mistake and ask me how they could fix it. They really really suck!! I’m not giving up. I want my 250 for the suit and shirt and 30 for the dry cleaning that never made it back to me! Beware!!!!! Take your stuff...

My experience picking up my dress was absolutely horrible. Wednesday when I dropped off my dress to be shortened for a wedding I let them know I needed it by Friday no exceptions and would be there late morning early afternoon to pick up my dress. Arriving Friday at the exact time frame I told them I would be there I come to find the shop closed. A neighboring worker approached me and said she just went to the bathroom and would be right back. So I quickly ran over to the food court to get food to go and come back to the shop. Coming to find out when I returned the second time there was a sticky note on the shop saying she had now left and would not be back until 2 pm. My boyfriend and I both had flights out of lauderdale for the wedding at 330. Because of her petty mistakes and inconsideration for my flight and her lack of showmanship in her own company she caused me to miss my flight. I then had to cancel my flight yet still drive my boyfriend to his flight so we wouldn't of had two tickets to go waste. Returning to the store after driving to lauderdale and then back to boynton she didn't even give me the time of day as I stood there for ten minutes. Being extremely frustrated with the whole situation I walked in myself and grabbed my dress storming out. Well the price of my alteration was fair and cheap in the long run I paid nearly 3x what I would of paid going elsewhere because of her carelessness to even be at the store during regular store hours. I would highly reccomend going anywhere but here to get your alterations. They don't care and are cheap with their prices along with the way they run...
