Scheurer's Chocolate — Local services in Boynton Beach

I came here today Friday July 10,2020 at about 11am. Last time I came here was on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago and it is closed on Sunday.

Let me back up by saying how I found this place. Being a small independent business I always try to look for small local businesses when I need to send a customer flowers, candy etc. So I googled "hand made chocolate near me" and this place an Hoffmans came up. Hoffmans is a larger scale operation so I wanted something smaller and more small batch made.

So I pull up today at 11am after driving almost 30 minutes to get here and there is a little older woman with keys going into the store with some bags. A few seconds later she exits and locks the door. I rolled down my window and asked her if they were open. She said not until 1pm. I told her this is my 2nd time coming here and they were closed and she said "Let me park my car and give me a second and I will help you" I could not believe my ears. 2 hours before they open and this woman is going to help me? Most places wont open 3 minutes before opening time.

I told her I wanted 1 pound assorted chocolates and she can pick in case she didn't want me to go in. But she opened the door and waved me in. While she packed my box, I picked out some hand dipped chocolate covered licorice sticks, a couple of chocolate covered oreo's. Then of course I needed something for the road so I picked out a truffle. I cant remember which one it was but it was super delightful. Not too rich, or too sweet, just perfect.

She informed me that today was their last day in that location and they were moving to Boynton Beach. I am so glad I went down there today and got to try these. I added my name to her email list and...

This chocolate shop may very well be the best in the entire Palm Beach area. A little tucked away gem, the family who owns this shop hand-dips all of their chocolates, onsite. The mouthwatering smell of melting chocolate envelops you as you walk through the door and the kindly staff greet you with a smile and serve with genuine pleasure.

Those familiar with the gourmet brand, Bissinger’s Chocolates, will be able to draw a favorable comparison of Scheurer's chocolates to Bissinger’s chocolate’s flavor-profile.

Everything in the shop is just delightful! The seasonal offerings are very nice, gourmet truffles and caramels shine, chocolate dipped licorice is a very special treat, chocolate covered Oreos can’t be underrated, chocolate dipped fruit, and their “sea sponges” and “peanut butter buttons” are outstanding. The peanut butter buttons, ritz peanut butter sandwiches dipped in chocolate are a “must-try.”

Amazing Place. I was looking for a local place near the area of the person I was sending the package to and I found this shop, one of the few that did Jellies and chocolates. So I took a chance and ordered a bunch of random stuff. It was a gift, so I just added that in the comments and just was hoping they would keep the billing information out of the box. Well, they called next day and asked if they could deliver it personally in the next day or 2. I was amazed and said that would be great. When the person received the package which was delivered by hand, it was gift wrapped perfectly and the box was laid out beautifully. They immediately called me and had to show it to me. It looked incredible! They went above and beyond with the presentation, wrapping and customer service. It went from a bunch of random stuff I ordered to a beautiful holiday gift! I will definitely be ordering from them again and they now have a houseful of new local customers. PS. They said the chocolates and jelly beans...
