Gallatin County Fairgrounds — Local services in Bozeman

This was my first time at the Gallatin County auction held at the fairgrounds. It was absolutely beautiful to see a community come together and support each other. I learned that this auction not only teaches kids responsibility but how to take care of themselves, market their animals, and speak to the public. I had a few come into my work and they were nervous, but it was adorable to watch them talk about what they've been feeding their animals. I also enjoyed watching the boys serve food at the BBQ, as well as offer water to the public throughout the auction. It was touching to see some of these kids during the auction too. You can tell how much they grew close to their animals and how much they cared for them. I loved watching how much the community supported these kids too. Fantastic fair grounds running a very poorly setup RV business on the side.

We stay at a lot of fairgrounds around the US and unfortunately Gallatin is simultaneously impeccably maintained and at the same time operating a sardine can lawless trailer park where you're slide out to slide out, even if you don't want hookups.

I completely understand fitting as many vendors and horse trailers as you can during events, but no one in the front office has ever stayed in their own rv lot judging by the layout and complete lack of rule enforcement. I was told exactly where to park and where not to park, and then immediately provided some amazingly loud and troubled neighbors who apparently skipped the orientation...

If you have business on the fair grounds then this may be the RV park you’re looking for. When I booked the space back in February there was no mention about the lack of water. Once I arrived I was told the water was not working but I could move the rig to the main office to fill my tank but it would cost me $5.00 to fill up. Not my fault they couldn’t fix the water. They want you to pay up front in full at the time of making your reservation and do not offer any kind of refund for the inconvenience. I have a 40 ft Diesel pusher so not the easiest thing to move. The fact you are sitting in a parking lot with no Amenities at all …… I would not recommend this site as a stay...
