We really enjoyed our stop at Wildrye Distilling in a recent overnight Bozeman stop.
Location is in a gentrified part of the city called the "Cannery District" near Rouse and I-90.
I had a bonded, a rye and their 5 Drops. All were really nice, but the bonded was hands down the best IMO. The daughter said she could drink the cucumber collins cocktails all night if they would let her. She also raved about one that was made with rosemary infused gin.
The service was really good despite what appeared to be a wedding party showing up to pre-funk prior to the big event. The poor bartender was HUSTLING, but the wedding party people were treating her very poorly and definitely did not understand how MT liquor laws work.
I ended up not getting any bottles to go because I didn't realize they weren't open the next day; but I am thinking about placing an online order.
Nice place, cool atmosphere and great service. We will always stop in if...
Read moreWildrye is one of those rare spots that instantly feels like a place you belong. The crew behind the bar is not only welcoming, they’re clearly a real team—friends, even—and you feel that the second you walk into the Cannery. There’s a shared energy between all the businesses in the space, but Wildrye is its heartbeat.
As for the spirits—these folks are serious about what they make. I’ve been to a lot of distilleries over the years (not claiming to be an expert), but Wildrye’s whiskey and other offerings are a cut above. There’s just a level of care and craft here that’s hard to fake.
It’s always on the short list of places I take friends when they visit from out of town. Wildrye represents some of the best of what Bozeman...
Read moreThis distillery was on our to-do list on our vacation to Montana. It did not disappoint. We both immensely enjoyed the cocktails and tasting some of their spirits. I highly recommend the Old Tom Gin, excellent aroma and flavor, such a great combination of botanicals. Our server, Rachel was also excellent, providing great local recommendations for places to eat, drink, and hang out. Which is exactly what I like when I'm visiting somewhere... the non- TripAdvisor version of what...
