Let down after let down, management needs to take a hospitality class or two.
We arrived and inquired about some bowling. They had a 30 min window of open lane space and we decided to jump on it. Instead of helping us make the most of those 30 mins, they first ignored us at the bar. Apparently they had more important things to chat about behind the counter as a crew. They all three saw us, but didn’t even indicate they’d be right over. Once we got one of them to talk to us, she said she’d call when a lane was available (we knew they opened up in 2 mins), we sat down like she suggested, but then decided we didn’t want to waste our time so we went back up at the 2 mins mark and asked if we could get a jump start on shoes and getting our balls. That seemed to be a task for them, a sneaky eye roll and a sigh, and no excitement to help us make the most of our evening.
They then told us we’d have about 25-30 mins. At the 24 min mark our game ended. Well before every other lane. We had 4 more mins before the cut off time they had previously mentioned. When we asked what was up, they said management set us at a 24 mins timer and there was nothing they could do. As we changed out our shoes, the other three lanes continued their games.
To the lady in charge at the bar in the velvet pink tank- I know the service industry can be tiring, but your lack of personality and general rudeness isn’t doing your place of...
Read moreThe space is really nice. I love the concept. We came for drinks and dinner. The cocktail I ordered was fantastic. The food wasn’t. My significant other ordered the stroganoff. That was the better dish, though the meat was really fatty and seemed low quality. I ordered the duck leg adobo for $30. The description was “bone-in duck leg braised in adobo, served over turmeric riced cauliflower and a Morroccan carrot salad”. I was really excited for this. What came out was one duck leg over flavored rice. No cauliflower and carrot salad anywhere. I was told by the wait staff that the menu was in rotation. Ok… I get that. But it would be considerate to mention this before someone orders. Even worse was the amount of salt used on the sad looking solo duck leg and rice. What a bummer for a Friday night on the town. We also ordered a side of fries that, for $9, were nothing special… just what you’d expect at a low cost burger joint. The total bill was $90 and it didn’t feel even close to worth the price.
I recommend you come for the drinks and get...
Read moreWe went to the Ponderosa Social Club for the first time last night. The atmosphere was great and the place seemed nice. We ordered two steaks off of the menu which were listed as $45 each. They had substituted the type of steak which they told us. When we got our bill tans they charged us $75 each for the steaks. When we spoke to the server and ultimately the manager regarding the bill, we were talked to as if we were idiots because we didn’t miraculously know the steaks would be more expensive just because they had to substitute the steak. We were never told there was a difference in price. They would only tell us that the menus we ordered off of were old. We argued for a bit and ultimately they did take some of the charge off but they would not honor the price on the menu. Buyer beware because they will charge you more than what is stated on menu and will not make it right. We won’t go back.
