Ram Computer Services was highly recommended to me some time ago, and a few months ago I needed their help with a scanning problem that I was unable to solve myself after many frustrating attempts. Through remote access to my computer and printer, Hayden (a Ram technician) solved the problem in less than 20 minutes. I also have had discussions about upgrading my PC later this year to accommodate Windows 11, and Ram spent a great deal of their time and with tremendous patience educating and advising me. Without question customer service and satisfaction is important to the Ram technicians, and I fully intend to purchase a new system through them this fall. It is very good to be able to rely on the fairness and competence of a local business such as Ram Computer Services when a technical problem suddenly arises. Two weeks ago, I purchased a new Lenovo ThinkStation PC running Windows 11 and a Brother printer from RAM Computer Services as they had recommended to me. The service in transferring data from my old PC to the new one was excellent. Hayden came to the house and set everything up for me thereby saving me hours of work and frustration. When I had an issue with the printer, Eric (another excellent technician) came out to the house again and easily solved the problem by downloading whatever was necessary and further tweaked my computer to improve it. This excellent and responsive service was included at no extra charge to me. The RAM Computer Services team truly cares about customer satisfaction and education, are extremely patient, competent and friendly. I feel I can turn to them at any time with a problem, and they will be glad to help me remotely. That's a very comfortable feeling for a person like me with limited computer knowledge. No...

THIS BUSINESS WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU! I am a college student who came to them with a broken CPU fan in my laptop that I needed fixed fast. I specifically told them that my CPU fan needed replacing when dropping off my device. After a day I was told that it would cost me $300 to replace the fan and I politely declined the service. However, when I went back to retrieve my device, they charged me $89 for "disassembly and diagnosis" (see attached) even when I told them the issue already. These fees were never disclosed to me.

The part required to repair my device costs only $20 and the job takes one to two hours yet they were planning to charge me $300 to do this. I cannot imagine what they would charge for a more intensive repair. Unless you would like to be scammed, avoid this business...

I had used Ram’s services years ago and had a good experience. For some reason, when my hard drive fried last year I forgot about Ram (!) and went to a competitor. What a mistake! Several sloppy problems that were never totally resolved. I finally came to my senses and called Ram. My computer and printer were in need of replacing, and the service they gave me in recommending replacements was solid.

Even better, though I reluctantly agreed to pay the fee to have them deliver and set them up (something I usually would do myself), it was well worth it!
