Vienne — Restaurant in Bozeman

We went on a busy Sunday morning to celebrate my wife’s birthday, however, from the start the processes at Vienne were broken! The staff were friendly enough but did not communicate well with the customers and service was completely lacking.

1. “We’re out of breakfast sandwiches” (it was breakfast time).
2. We then found a seat and waited, and waited. When going up to the counter inquiring about our food they said “it’s right here”. They didn’t call names or a number, nothing. Our food was sitting with others with no way to tell whose was whose.
3. Then at the counter we asked about our drip coffees that we ordered. They stated “we’re out of drip coffee” (at breakfast time!). Glad I asked because they would have let me continue waiting. They then asked if we would like an Americanos instead, so I said sure… and we waited. When inquiring again, they stated they working on them. So, we waited and waited some more. When inquiring yet again they said, they’re sitting over there at the end of the counter (with no way of knowing). 4). Food was requested to be warmed, and was not warmed. A quiche was under cooked we were informed that it was meant to be “a softer egg”. Sorry… what hens lay softer eggs? It was gooey! The ham and cheese croissant lacked… um… ham and cheese.

I rarely offer reviews and do not consider myself a picky eater but this experience at Vienne in Bozeman was one of the worst customer service experiences ever. Step it up Vienne! There are many other...

Wow wow wow!!! Like seriously. Vienne delivered luxuriously tasting and eye beholding goodies with lovely, prompt service.

The breakfast sandwich had me savoring every last bite with my eyes either closed or rolling in ecstasy- the peppers and olives were pickled and vinegary, the soft boiled egg added creaminess, the bread was spongy to absorb all the flavors. Gah! So good. It was a heightened version of eggs in a nest that delivered a palette punch in every morsel.

I also got a kouign amann (just the right combination of buttery and sweet and crunchy/caramelized and flaky- pairs perfect with a plain coffee) and a cup of hot chocolate (think thick but still liquid enough to be drinkable- for me it rivaled the drinking chocolate at The French Broad in Asheville). Neither of these delectables crossed into the "overly sweet" category which is a plus.

“French Delights in Bozeman!”

We stopped by Vienne in Bozeman, and it’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a French bakery. We kicked things off with the ham and cheese croissants, and they were absolutely delicious—flaky, buttery, and filled with savory goodness.

We also lucked out and snagged the last berry bread pudding, and wow, what a win! It was rich, sweet, and had bits of their chocolate bread in it (which we didn’t try on its own, but if it’s anything like the bread pudding, it’s probably amazing).

Before heading out, we grabbed a baguette and some Brie to go, and they made for a perfect snack later. The baguette was only $3.75, which felt like a steal for how fresh and tasty it was.

Their cold brew was spot-on too—strong, smooth, and the perfect pick-me-up. All in all, great prices, delicious food, and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Bozeman and craving some...
