Great American Cookies — Local services in Braselton

The cookies are great, just like you find at the Mall Of Ga locations, and we’ve been in twice for ice cream which was also very good. However, we’ve ordered 2 cookie cakes in the last month and have been extremely disappointed with them. We usually order from the mall and pick up for every birthday or event, and we’re exc that it would be so much closer to home and easier to pick up. The cakes were very simple, just birthday cakes with writing, no fancy design or picture and they both looked very sloppy. The writing was crooked, and squiggly. They smushed my daughters name in at the bottom and didn’t fill the edges, there were gaps and the “dollops” of icing were so small so that they did not touch. I understand that it is a new place, but the cookie cakes are a staple for the Great American Cookie Company, and I think they need to give training or something to those people that are working there. My experience with the ice cream only after my wife asked the young man to change his gloves for playing with his hair in front of us was fine. However, when I asked him for what I would like to have, he just pointed until he got it right. He never spoke. I thought the poor kid was mute, but NO, he chose to point at the ingredients until I said yes. As we sat in to eat, we noticed the change in the shift. The two young ladies were very pleasant to the incoming customers. Yes, very professional! Yet again, one young lady fixed her hair and never changed her gloves and went back to making cookies. I brought it up to the manager, and he made every excuse under the sun. We weren't looking for anything at all. Just an honest acknowledgment and a follow-up with his employees. ( hair nets, retraining, or something) At this point, we just will not return and let others know the unhealthy practices that I'm sure...

This was my wedding cake. The design is sloppy and it should have said HICKS EST. 2025 not HICKSEST 2025. We asked them to remake it and they informed us they did not have time. They also forgot the 12 dozen cookies that come with it… they did not have time to make those either.

My order total was $64.65. They offered a refund of $30, not even half of my order total. One dozen cookies is $27.99.

This was after I called more than 5 times requesting someone to call me back. It took 2 weeks to get a response. The owner and manager refused to speak with me and had an employee call when he was the only employee working. He kept having to put me on hold because he had to attend to customers.
