I tried this nail salon out since it's close to home. I had a set of acrylics on but wanted them removed and to get a fresh set. I was sat with a lady who tried to tell me that I didn't need a new set, that my nails were fine. I kindly told her that I wanted new tips because my natural nails had grown out and they were stained underneath. She then moves me to someone else because I guess she didn't want to go through the process of soaking my acrylic off. I'm not sure if the person she sat me with was new, but she wasn't very experienced. She did give me a breakdown of the pricing, which I always appreciate, but she also tried to get away with not putting new tips on and using my grown out nails instead. I made it clear that I wanted new tips, I was paying for a new set so that's what I wanted. I asked for a squared off coffin shape, which she did an okay job on. As I watched, I did notice she was struggling with the acrylic. She was dipping too much of the powder and I had a feeling my nails were going to be lumpy and just not good. Well after nearly two hours of being there and her over-filing, I felt like they were decent enough, I definitely did not want to complain and be there even longer to get my nails perfected. The very next day, two nails broke off and I realized it was because they were entirely too thin. There's no way they would hold up for two weeks and with each one that broke, they also were ripping my natural nail with them. I have been getting medium length coffin shaped acrylics for nearly 3 years and have NEVER had one break. I am not rough on them either. So while the customer service was mediocre, the quality was not...
Read moreI went to this salon recently and I was having a my engagement pictures being done that evening. I read the reviews of this salon and gave it a try, I will say that they have awesome customer service, however, I made it a point to say I needed my nails done for this which I mean engagement photos are of the hands, I loved my pedicure and the lady who did my pedicure she did amazing, but the lady who did my nails had left me unsatisfied, she was super nicer donât get me wrong but she left me crying in my car stressing about what I could do about my nails, I told her I wanted a French tip, she did my acrylic and then started them, I kept telling her I wanted short nails which shouldnât cost extra for short nails, I did not get coffins or a extra shape of nails since they were short, and when I told her I wanted the white portion of the French tip to be thinner (it was half white on a short nail) she barely made it shorter, my nails were bumpy and sloppy, she couldâve looked at them before I left and told me she wasnât going to let me walk out like that, I decided that I would let her finish, pay and leave, tell me why I got the cheapest pedicure, and my nails shouldâve been less then 50 considering I had no shape and short nails with gel, shouldâve been Atleast 40 tell me why I paid over $100. I felt like I was scammed out of a good experience for my engagement pictures, I couldnât go home like this, I ended up going to another salon who worked with what I had and told me she shouldnât have let me leave with those nails considering they were visibly bumpy and messy and my nails were different lengths. I would not...
Read moreI went in last weekend as a walk in just wanting my acrylics removed. They werenât very busy, however there appeared to be about 4 workers and 2 hanging out in the back. One of the women told me to have a seat and someone would be with me SHORTLY. I understood I was a walk in so I was fine waiting. A white woman came in about 20 min after me wanting a pedi and mani and asked how long to wait. the woman who told me to sit down practically begged her to stay after whispering to her âabout 45 minutes maybe lessâ. She even asked her if she wants to come back. Then a group of teens and two moms came in and did NOT sound like they had an appointment and were immediately sat for manis/pedicures!! I was extremely frustrated because at this point it had been 52 minutes and I just wanted my nails removed. Someone could have feasibly soaked them and went to someone else for the amount of time I was waiting. The lady that did mine (who was about to do someone pedi until one of her coworkers pointed me out) was rushing with me, obviously wanting to hurry and get to servicing the white girls. To top it off, she started taking my nails off w ANOTHER NAIL⌠shops SHOULD NOT DO THIS. Once it was time to pay she practically pushed me out of the door, I did not have cash and asked how I was supposed to tip her since there wasnât a tip line on the receipt and she said âdonât worry about itââŚ.very unprofessional and clearly favors certain clients over others. Go to Royale nails on spout springs theyâre so...
