Dr. Potash is a horrible Doctor. Army Veteran here. Dr. Potash performed a simple endoscopy. 2 days later I was admitted to the hospital with Pancreatitis. No hospitalizations in my lifetime before this. I was in severe pain 2 days before my hospitalization, I called Dr. Potash to ask if he knew what was happening to me. I thought I was going to die. I identified as the African American female Veteran. He pretended he didn't remember me & proceeded to be very rude and dismissive. As if he had many African American female Veteran patients that week. NOT! It was clear he was blowing me off. I had never experienced a physician acting in this manner. During my initial consultation in his office he said " if you are a Veteran, what are you doing here?" in hindsight that should of been a Red flag. A bit of animosity. I should have walked out of his office that day to never return. Something is truly wrong with this Doctor. He is bitter and resentful, no compassion whatsoever! I truly thought I was going to die. I will never trust this facility again with my life. BMH please have some Oversight when it comes to your Medical Staff. Patient Care is #1. Who measures this? Who corrects this? More importantly, who answers these PATIENT Reviews? This was very alarming in many ways. I spoke to many people in the Community who encouraged me to write this review. By the way, this is the 2nd time I wrote this review. The first review was mysteriously deleted. I posted it under Dr. Potash's name. Now, his name no longer exists under Goggle maps. That was a slick way to have my previous review deleted as well as other negative reviews. SLICK! When his name was removed from Goggle maps all those very crucial reviews that BMH never viewed were deleted. Not good! 'twistedsoulsista' is my deejay name. My birth...
Read moreI don’t even know where to begin on the number of times I was treated like it was all in my head. In December 2023 during surgery it was discovered that my heart rate was extremely low. After surgery a heart monitor was put on me for 2 weeks. Week number 3 I received an urgent voicemail to get to the hospital ASAP. Once I arrived everyone came rushing as my heart rate was extremely low. After surgery the ball completely dropped things just proceeded to get worse. I was struggling with low blood pressure and stomach issues after many appointments I was given a diagnosis and told it won’t be forever (11 months ago) I wasn’t offered much for treatment. I had to see more Doctors . Referrals were requested by one of my MDs but the staff never bothered to follow through with the orders I had to repeatedly call and ask if they had been done. Don’t even get me started on the Cardiology Department or Neurology as they just wanted to put me on antidepressants. Wow is about all I have as I have been struggling for months and months thinking the medical staff working with me would want to help but instead I was basically told to get over myself others recovered just fine. Well I’m not others and one visit to my new PCP and test have been order results are clear ITS NOT in my head and I’m not going to recover! Thanks for showing me what extremely poor medical...
Read moreI just wanted to give a shout out to the entire team at BMH. From the ER team, to EVS, dietary… all the way up to nursing, techs, physicians, and all other healthcare providers we encountered.
My sister was visiting Vermont from out of state, and unfortunately experienced a sudden illness which warranted immediate medical attention, so she had no choice but to find the closest hospital; which is what landed her at BMH.
The entire team as a whole treated her as if she was their friend or family member. When speaking to Dietary, it seemed to be like speaking to your Aunt whom was calling you to see what she could cook you up for dinner depending on how you were feeling that particular day. My sister was in a scared and vulnerable state, and in an unknown environment, feeling very ill, and also alone, until my sister and I flew to be with her the following day. Each member of the BHM team did their part in comforting and reassuring her that she was going to be okay, while simultaneously providing excellent patient care every step of the way. As a healthcare provider myself, I am extremely pleased she landed at BMH and our family cannot thank your team enough for all that was done to facilitate a smooth, thorough, and smooth stay for our sister.
BMH may be small, but they are mighty! Thank you, thank...
