Terrible experience. Most of it was probably the fault of myself and my boyfriend but either way I hope I never have to go ice skating again. We paid $5 each and spent about 5 minutes actually skating. The lady at the front desk talked to us like we should know what we were doing when we had no idea and were very confused and was just generally unfreindly. There were way too many people there. I think they need a limit to how many people can be on the ice at a time, cause there were just people everywhere. I have social anxiety and claustrophobia and I felt very uncomfortable. The ice was in desperate need of zamboni...ing? It was so rough and hard to skate on cause of all the skate marks. I don't know if my skates were the wrong size or what but my feet ached terribly after only one time around the rink. It was so painful that we ended up going to these viewing bleachers up the steps. I actually wondered if my skates were on the wrong feet. It didn't help that my jeggings weren't long enough so part of my ankle was fully exposed, which of course was my fault. They also had zippers on the legs which stabbed me and added to the pain. My boyfriend had also fallen twice so we were both in pain. I wondered if it was a good idea to go up there with skates since it was concrete. But we weren't given any rules or instructions and there wasn't a sign or anything telling us not to wear skates up there. But my worries were confirmed when a lady (not an employee but most likely a mom to one of the girls that was actually a figure skater and came to practice) told us that coming up there would tear up our skates. We chose to go up there so we wouldn't have to back into the lobby area where there were also way too many people. At that point I was frustrated and in pain and tired cause I worked for 3 hours that morning and I had a mental break down and started crying. We made our way back to the stairs on our knees so as not to "tear up our skates". We then took our skates off and left. Complete waste of money. Will never go ice skating again,...
Read moreHorrible Stick and Puck experience last Tuesday (7/9/19) from 3:30 - 5:30. They literally had half the rink blocked off for 2 or 3 little rich kids to receive their "specialty" training class with two instructors. All this while 30 other "normal" people were left with the other half of the ice rink.
Compete garbage.... If the owners are reading this man up and make your stick and puck the full ice rink (for everyone) not half. If you don't do this someone is going to get hurt... The side glass has already been broken multiple times because there is literally no where to shoot when you have 30 people allowed to only use half the ice...
Bottom line, worst stick and puck I've ever been to. Half the ice = 5 entitled people Other half of ice = 30 normal...
Read moreAfter they remodeled the rink (a few years ago), the ice rink has become so bad. The surface is extremely uneven, and there were patches of ice where you could touch the sand underneath because the ice was so thin. It's so hard to train consistently when you're skating on terrible ice. Not only is the ice bad, the rink has become poorly lit and...
