I had one of the worst experiences with this store tonight. I was in the store earlier today and had put a coffee table on hold. The girl that checked me out asked if I wanted it held until tonight until the store closed or until tomorrow. I didn’t have room in my vehicle for it at the time and was sure I would be back to pick it up later tonight. Things happened and I didn’t make it back tonight. I called to tell them before they closed. I spoke with Donald- the “manger” and he said he had a customer there right then that wanted to buy it and he was going to sell it to them bc they can’t hold things over night. I told him the girl that placed the table on hold for me did not inform me of this and told me it could be held until tomorrow. He said she was incorrect and would not hold it bc another customer wanted it. He was so very inconsiderate and unfair. I will never shop at this location again, even if it is the best/biggest location in middle TN! He should have honored what his employee told me even it it...
Read moreThis location is undergoing renovations during business hours. Though I understand that has to happen sometimes, it was the way the store associates behaved during the reno that was the issue. Drilling, banging, YELLING across clothing fixtures to each other, heading down aisles with large bins and NOT saying excuse me but rather just standing there staring and waiting for the customer to get out of their way, no associates acknowledged that we were even in the store. The ONLY pleasant associate was the cashier that waited on us as we weee leaving. I am from out of town and my daughter took me to your store thinking it would be a good experience because of location. It was just plain horrible. Management, I hold you accountable for not setting the tone of “customer first” even in the midst of your renovation chaos. It takes VERY LITTLE EFFORT to be kind. I worked retail for more than 20 years in a customer service role so I have expectations. You did not even begin to meet those...
Read moreThe TJ Maxx & HomeGoods Brentwood TN location has declined over the past year unbelievably. The isles are so very narrow that it's extremely difficult to maneuver a cart through them to shop for anything. The store has become totally unorganized, it's actually filthy and unkept. The merchandise is all just either piled up or thrown around on the floor, which means that you must move it yourself to maneuver around the store. The lines are extremely too long and it appears as if the management is the least bit concerned about the situation. I'm so embarrassed that I purchased several gift cards from the store in December and gave as gifts for the holidays, which I'll never do again as long as the owners continue to allow such a disaster. One would think that a store in the Brentwood TN area would not be in such shambles. Since it appears as if the owners are not going to show any signs of concern for their business I will no longer be a loyal...
