Every once in a while you stumble upon something and you wonder why you hadn't been there before. Such is the chase with Chile Burrito. I mean, it's not like it's hidden or hard to find, I just hadn't been into the unexpectedly large retail area that it's located in until recently. What I didn't expect to find from its rather unassuming store front was AWESOMENESS.

The first thing you notice is color. From the mural on the wall to the streamers hanging from the ceiling to the chairs that are all kinds of colors, Chile Burrito is a festival of colors from the second you walk in the door.

The menu is laid out on chalk boards above the food area, hand written in various colors of chalk. The menu options are huge and run the gambit of all of your Mexican favorites from tacos to burritos to quesadillas to bowls, each available with a protein (or two) of your choice. Like other fast casual Mexican eateries, as you go down the line you add the ingredients you want to suite your taste. Some come with an upcharge, some don't. Items that come with an upcharge are listed on the menu board above. It isn't hard or confusing at all. While some reviewers state confusion about how/where to order, I have to wonder why. Have they never been to QDoba? Chipotle?

Along with posting a photo of the menu, I've also included a close-up of one particular section of the menu. Consider yourself challenged.

My choice was a chicken bowl with cilantro-lime rice, add some fajita veggies and sour cream. A side of chips and salsa, of course, because this meal needs to be well-rounded.

One nice thing is the salsa bar, with five different salsas of different varieties and heat levels. I tried all five and found my favorite to the three-pepper Tomatilla d'arbol. Nice flavor, a little smoky, and just enough heat to let you know it's there.

My food was great. I don't know what kind of seasoning or marinade they used on the chicken but it was amazingly good and very moist, not dry like some other places. The chips were good but a bit thick for my taste (nothing I'd take any points away for), and worked well with the various flavors of salsa.

During my roughly 40 minute visit the dining room and trash were tended to a couple times and the salsa station and drink station wiped down to keep them clean.

During my monthly visits to Brentwood I'm always on the lookout for great places to eat. This one just go added to...

I have frequented this establishment since my youth, making it a cherished culinary destination in this locality. A visit to this restaurant is a family tradition whenever I reunite with my parents, an experience steeped in nostalgia and cherished memories. The consistently delightful cuisine has never failed to impress, ensuring a satisfying dining experience each time.

While my admiration for this restaurant remains unwavering, I've observed changes in the area's ambiance, occasionally marred by a sense of aloofness among the locals. I acknowledge that change is inevitable; however, attributing personal dissatisfaction to minor inconveniences should not reflect poorly on the exceptional customer service provided.

Despite these observations, I maintain a deep fondness for this place, anchoring it as a beacon of comfort and tradition. I sincerely hope that Chilli Burrito continues to thrive for years to come, preserving its culinary excellence and warmth. Grateful for the cherished moments and culinary delights provided by this...

I truly love this place... my office orders lunch from here often and we're so happy that this location is just as close as when we were downtown. However, today was one of those time I consider not going back. Whomever the cashier was today (not the usual guy that I see often) was very rude. I placed my order online so when I walk in, I go straight to the counter as I've done countless times before. I stood patiently as he cashed a few people out that were in line. He BLANTANLY ignored me. Literally finding everything else to do than to ask "How can I help you?" I just finally had to raise my voice a little for him to acknowledge that I was standing there. I found it very off putting and unlike the service I've ever received there before. And to top it all off.. the queso was left out of my order although it was paid for. So while I will be coming back, I'd avoid the...

I ordered online from the website, and received confirmation that the order was placed. When I arrived the female cashier acted like I was the dumb one and said “we don’t do that.. you need to get in line and order”. I was ordering for the entire family with many different bowl orders. When ordering and paying it felt as if I was an inconvenience, customer service needs some major work. 3 stars because I’m still a big fan of the food. All good feedback on the bowls except for the small portion.

Very good Mexican food for the price. Decent indoor dining area and tiny outside dining as well. The kid's meals are very generous. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because the service was just okay. It took way to long for me and my family to be acknowledged in the serving line and the energy was super low from the cashier. It felt like our presence was an inconvenience. Considering that, a 4 is generous, however I will give it another try because the value/food was really good.
