Nordstrom Rack — Local services in Brentwood

I wanted to to do something fun and shop with my daughter here this morning- but it actually ended up ruining my day because the cashier was so rude to us for no reason and even asked someone to take over my sale so she could stop serving us. I have no idea why- was she offended my toddler was trying to talk to her? Or that I sat my toddler on the counter? She whispered something to the girl who took over and then the next girl was equally cold to me. I really don’t get it. I didn’t say anything to either of them except “hi I have to return these items here’s my receipt”. They both made me feel so extremely rejected and I don’t know what I did. No hint of smiles, no response to my toddler saying hi and thank you, just total rudeness. It really makes me not want to shop there again. Great place to find deals or clothes in general. Just note that there is a NO return policy on worn shoes even if they are worn for a day and injure your feet. Recently purchased 4 pairs of shoes but 1 pair injured the heel of my right foot. I was wearing socks but my heel still bled. Felt great when i tried them on at the store. It is the Nunn Bush Kore City walk lace-up pair. I couldnt even "walk" in them. Avoid this pair. Now, i have to throw them away even though they are worn for only a day. I did call the store and spoke with a manager who declined to return the pair. Not the best customer service for a bad product. Also, it is not about getting a refund for $45. it is about shopping at a place that stands behind their product. Which....they do not. Disappointed in the level of customer service at this location. I went in to return a pair of shoes that were purchased for me as a Christmas gift. I explained to the associate that I wished to purchase the same pair but in a different color that was available online and asked for the amount to be put on a giftcard. She told me that she had already refunded the cost of the shoes to the original payment...despite me having a conversation with her that they were a gift. I honestly couldn't believe she did that without asking for my preference...and it was clearly a gift. I was shocked.

I usually have a good experience at Nordstrom Rack but this missed the mark. Especially when I went to a designated return counter, I would expect the associates to be familiar...
