Burlington — Local services in Brick Township

I just read other reviews, after posting mine. Noticed there are other complaints about how people are treated by the managers of this store.

Below my original review:

If you are in this store I hope you don’t run into “Jane Doe”.

She is very nasty towards children and their parents. The children were running around and she started getting on their case. Then she came and started getting on the mothers case. “You have to take care of the children don’t let them run around.”

Now, anyone who has children knows that it doesn’t matter how much you tell a kid not to run, they will find a way to do just that.

She may have been right, but nothing gives her the right to get on the case of somebody else’s child. That’s exactly what I told her. Then she screamed, “then take care of your kid”.

I asked for the store manager and guess who it was.

I don’t know what Management School or Training this person has taken. She either didn’t take any or didn’t learn.

Jane Doe started telling other employees and they were laughing at us. The only person who was nice was our cashier. Couldn’t help but notice that all employees were white.

I wonder, if the children had been white and the mother had been speaking English, would she still be so mad they were running around? Or would she have said, “your children are so cute.”

Very bad experience with Manager. She has no manners to talk to customer. My wife had to return the broken bathroom dispenser and they were not able to find on the receipt. She sarcastically told my wife that this has a tag of KOHLSSSS. My wife told her that am I going to lie for $5 and you can check on the shelf as I bought this afternoon. Manager again sarcastically said "I am not going there and if I find in the receipt then I will return". This is not a customer service. I read another comment with bad review for Manager behavior. I went to Burlington Coat factory and they treated me like some kind of thieve. Not only did the lady at the register gave me problems at the returned desk I was followed by loss prevention while I was shopping with my six month old son. People need to understand that not all black people steal. My husband "who is a cop" used to work loss prevention told me the majority of people that steal at retail stores are young white females. I've experienced Racism, discrimination and I was label as a criminal who take things that belong to someone else. I will never step foot in that store and any other Burlington...
