Azzurro Pizza & Italian Grill — Restaurant in Brick Township

I made an online order for a single pizza ($20) by mistake trying to order from Azzura’s in Sea Isle, when I called to calmly explain the situation and ask for a refund (because now I’ve ordered the pizza from the correct place) the girl on the phone passed me over to this man who was EXTREMELY RUDE. He started guilting me saying “well it’s not fair that I need to take a loss here” I’m sorry dude it’s $20, it probably cost you $10 to make, I used to work at a restaurant ad have comped people with $400 checks before. I’m assuming this man was the manager but I didn’t get a name but never in my life have I had such an abrasive and rude interaction with someone in a CUSTOMER SERVICE position. I will be cancelling the charge on my card and posting this review on every available site to warn potential consumers of the level of hospitality they can expect (which is none at all). I was let down after a recent catering order. The current menu that they offer apparently has not been updated to reflect current prices. I wish I would’ve known that before I ordered (there is a tiny square of paper on the counter glass that says prices don’t reflect the current menu). Either way, no one pointed this out while I was ordering. Long story short, my order was $50 more than I expected. When I brought this up the following day, the staff let me know ‘prices had gone up and they were waiting on new menus”. They even called the owner who gave an explanation of extra costs that still didn’t add up correctly to what I was charged. Went here for dinner with my son this week and had some decent basic italian food. There is no waitress here so you have to order your food at the counter and then sit down and they bring it to you which was different then the last time I was there. I ordered lentil soup, gluten free penne with marinara sauce, grilled chicken, and french fries. I would have liked the soup to come out first as an appetizer however all the stuff came out at once. The marinara sauce had way to much oil in it, although very tasty and with fresh herbs, it was drenched in oil and made my pasta which was over cooked very heavy. The fries were perfectly crispy and hot and the grilled chicken tasted good and was tender.
