horrible, last time iâll ever go to this ulta for my hair. I called and made an appointment around christmas time.. it had been 2-3 years since I had my hair colored.. it was almost full virgin hair. When I called I asked for a an experienced stylist due to the length of my hair ( at my hips ). I was given Jillian. Come to find out she was VERY new at coloring, cutting. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and went in with an open mind. I wanted to have a balayage with blonde on the bottom. We pick out colors, start and she foils the THE ENTIRE TOP HALF of my head and leaves the ends untouched. I figure trust the process, as she is checking over my head she proceeds to tell me I should cut 3-4 inches off.. thank god I didnât listen to her. We finish my hair is half wet, she rushed, took two photos and I was out the door. I feel like I barely got to even look at my hair. I had to rush to work right after and that is when I finally look in the mirror. She completely BLEACHED the top half of my virgin hair and left my ends orange. It looked Horrible. This is why she âsuggestedâ I CHOP OFF 4 inches OF MY HAIR, to hide HER SCREW UP. I immediately call the salon and go in Sunday morning to have it fixed. As the manager was looking through my hair the assistants were saying âoh my godâ, âoh noâ. I was so embarrassed. The ONLY WAY they could fix my hair was to color it completely black and than charge me for the service. My hair is destroyed thanks to Jillian. I have broken pieces all over my head, itâs so discolored and dry. I will never let any of those hair dressers touch my head again and I highly suggest you donât let them either. I called corporate, sent them photos.. it has been 3 months and not one follow up back, not a dollar refunded. So I am finally taking this to social media and leaving a review. I tried to be patient and understanding but the damage they have caused, the embarrassment and the loss of confidence I have because of this experience.. nobody should ever go through. The neglect from ULTA is disgraceful. How much money I spent in that store, three months and not even a response from a team member. Save your money and find an EXPERIENCED, HIGH QUALITY stylist. Donât make the mistake I did. I am to embarrassed to even show follow ups of where my hair is at currently. Shame on this...
Read moreI decided to book a blowout here instead of going to my usual salon since I had a local wedding. Unfortunately, I will never come back after this experience.
I booked Jillian and explained very clearly that I wanted a smooth blowout with a little curve at the endsânot overly voluminous. From the moment I sat down, she barely engaged with me. After my wash, she and another assistant started blow-drying my hair while openly talking about their drunken nights and working hungover. It felt incredibly unprofessional and uncomfortable to sit through.
She barely touched the roots, and my scalp was left damp. I even pointed it out, letting her know it needed to be dried properly to avoid frizz. She felt the inside of my scalp, then just continued on like nothing, still only focusing on the ends. By the time she was âfinished,â my hair was already frizzing, and the crown of my head was still damp.
Sure enough, as soon as I got home, my blowout fell apart completelyâflat, frizzy, and damp. I ended up having to redo my own hair for the wedding, despite paying $45 for this service.
Itâs so disappointing. Not only did the service itself fall short, but the lack of professionalism and care made it worse. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides proper training so other clients donât waste their time and money the way I did. Save yourself the frustration and...
Read moreHonestly Krystal was fantastic! Sweetest peach ever! I normally go to Howell for my hair but since moving to brick and needing to go to Toms River it was easier to stop here. I made an online appointment for a blow out since Iâve had issues with my shoulder itâs become harder to wash my hair. First of all, Krystal literally is the first person EVER to make my hair pin straight exactly how I love it! She also encouraged me to vent, which is when I explained some medical/physical limitations/issues Iâm dealing with, she informed me I could have a standing appointment to assist me with my wash and blow out if I wanted. Second of all, and most important in my book, when she saw I was thinking a lot too after getting very silent, she encouraged me to vent and listened thoroughly and thoughtfully during the entire time. I have never had a hair dresser do that so genuinely, that's the first time ever anyone has ever done that. I felt comfortable with her, and was so impressed by her kindness and dedication. From now on Brick ulta is doing my hair as long as itâs here and as long as I live...
