Smashburger — Restaurant in Brick Township

I've been there in the past maybe a year or so ago and it was awful today.it was empty and yet almost every table was dirty. I went up to the register to order but there were no staff in the front. I had to call to the back of the kitchen assuming someone was back there because not one staff could visibly be seen. When the staff got ahold of the person that take orders, it was as if we were bothering her or interrupting her. We ordered and managed to find a semi clean table. When we got our food, I asked if someone was going to clean the tables and she said she couldnt because she had to take orders first and no one else is there. Yet she did not grab not one thing off any tables on her way back to the register. The another staffer came back and I could tell they were talking about the fact that I asked her to clean off the tables, then she told her coworker it was busy all of a sudden, when the place was empty. I started to take pictures and then all of a sudden they started to clean and loudly say how "busy" the place was. I do not normally complain about places but because they were rude and it was dirty. Usually I won't go eat at places if they don't have at least four stars. Thankfully fellow foodies here on Google have never steered me in the wrong direction. But this place only had 3.6 stars but I really wanted to give it a chance. As you can see from my rating this place just didn't cut it as a "quality burger joint".

Four burgers with four sides and no drinks cost me $43 . I got the food to go. My ride is five minutes home. In that quick time, the burger which was so greasy made my bun all soggy, and the fries were barely luke warm. Then at the bottom of each bag we were given coupons that had expired in November of 2015, like what the heck is that all about. If it wasn't for the very friendly girl working the register who took my order this place would have only received one star. I could have spent half the money and received far better quality burgers at McDonald's.

If I could rate this place 0 stars I would. This was hands down the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in my life. I ordered the new triple double which is supposed to contain twice the beef and triple the cheese of the classic smash burger. When my burger arrived it was literally one classic smash patty torn in half. I approached the server and asked her to rectify the situation but she told me that the half a patty I showed her was in fact a 5 oz classic smash patty. I then brought up a classic smash patty someone else in my party ordered and compared the two. My patty was clearly half the size and she now admitted it but stated that i misheard her and that the new triple double is actually two 2.5 oz pattys. They still refused to rectify the situation which is straight up robbery. I never received what was paid for. On top of that after ordering I couldn't even find a table to sit at as most of the tables all contained food scraps...
