Are you the person we dealt with directly? If you are not, your employee is neither honest nor transparent and the only extra mile he ran was to line his own pocket at the customer’s expense.
— I don’t find it acceptable that you lied about what transpired. A FREE estimate is what I came in for. You advised on the phone that you could provide more information from turning it on and listening to the sound. Then we could make a decision on how to proceed. This is what I expected you to do. You disappeared into a back room. You NEVER advised you were going to “disassemble “ the vacuum or charge a fee nor did you obtain my permission to do so. You NEVER “identified the source” of the problem. In fact you stated -I did NOT do anything to fix it. You removed the roller bar, ran the motor without it and put the roller bar back in. How long are your repairs guaranteed for? The first time we used the vacuum after bringing it home resulted in no change in the performance of the vacuum after your “repair”. It is still not fixed. According to your words since no repair was done, you should refund our $30 repair fee.
I wasn’t going to discuss the bait and switch tactic you used on the customer before us. Quoting one price to make the sale then stating you “forgot” it was more when it came time to ring up the sale. We should’ve walked out the minute I witnessed this.
At least the Banks store provided a FREE quote and didn’t take any money from us in the process. Your business practices are questionable at best. ——
Called ahead re: repair pricing. Was told he would need to see in person. FREE estimates. Took it in the back, took it upon himself to remove the roller bar, run the motor without it attached, put the roller bar back in. Brought it back up front and said I didn’t do anything to fix it, but it sounds better Oh, by the way, I’m gonna have to charge you a $30 bench fee … There was no mention of any bench fee nor the possibility of ANY fee being charged ahead of time. I was a little shocked. We are both too polite to start an argument at that point. We could’ve had that same thing done for free at the original business We purchased the vacuum from.
Now you knew we had then lied to by the prior business. Why scam us out of $30 while being dishonest. I was ready to give you my business until that happened. Sad. I hope someone else reads this and learns their lesson before they...
Read moreAfter walking a block because of the limited parking, I stood out in the cold calling them to get someone to unlock the door. No one answered, the voice mail said they were with other customers however that was not the case because I was looking through the window and they must of just been in the back ignoring the door and the phone. Drove 45 minutes to get there, never let me in. Went on a Thursday at 9:05-9:15
Yep, this was 3 year's ago but I remember it. I remember the back of a mans head at a desk, waiting for him to get up and answer the phone, while I called, I remember being in opened toed high heals and water drenching my feet from the melting slush puddles, I remember it being on a busy/Grand River Street with a drive through parking lot area in front of your store and a side lot connected to an auto store on the right that was full (which makes sense because most lots in the downtown area fill up, it's a busy area. ) I definitely had to park on a side street, I'll will say I am happy to see the recent reviews are all happy ones, I love to see my locally owned small business thriving and hope you take great care of all future customers so that we can support American...
Read moreDropped off my 2 year old commercial vacuum in to get serviced. I was told the reason it wasn't working well was due to the housing was broke, hole in the hose and proper maintenance wasn't done. The guy working there said it would cost well over hundreds of dollars to fix it and it wouldn't be worth it because that make of vacuum is basically crap. He looked up the parts and realized he can't even get them so he proceded to try and sell me one of his vacuums (which to me seem well over priced), I decided to take my vacuum to another source. They looked at it right away, gave me an estimate of $44.95 INCLUDING LABOR. All that was needed was new brush strips for the roller, a new hose and belt and it was fixed the next day! When I told him someone told me the housing was broke, he asked if I took it to Arbor Vacuums! Weird? No! They apparently have a rep to rip people off! Not even a crack in the housing and it works perfect now! I almost bought a brand new vacuum...
