NOTHING BUT LIARS We were super excited to get our new bed. We were even more excited to find out that ABC warehouse had a cool machine to set you up with the right bed. What was EVEN BETTER was when we were told there was a "90-day comfort guarantee". I very specifically asked if that guarantee included the size of the bed, and Mike the sales guy said "yes, you can exchange it for any other bed of the exact same line". Fast forward a month and we need a bigger bed. Try calling and are told we have to wait until the 90 days is up to call, but we could try calling the store to see if they'd push it through early. Call the store 3 times, 1 time someone answers. He tells me I have to call the 800 number (the number I already called). I call the 800 number, they tell me it's on the store right now but to let them know if the store gives me any problems.
Fast forward to our 90 day mark. My husband and I have both been calling the store and every time it's some new line of bs. "You can ONLY talk to the saleguy that sold it to you." "Mike is on vacation, he'll be back Monday." "He'll be back Tuesday" "He'll be back Wednesday." "Mike is on vacation until next week." "We won't see him all weekend." "Mike will call you on Tuesday."
FINALLY my husband gets through and talks to Mike. Mike gives him some BS about not being able to exchange the bed. Husband brings up the 90-day guarantee. Mike tries to blame covid and every other thing in the book as to why they CAN'T take the bed back. Finally Mike agrees to "go up the chain" to receive "permission" to return the bed. He says he'll call us back by Thursday. Two weeks later my husband has had to call again. No answer. Finally Mike calls my husband and tells him "we got permission from the chain of higher ups, I have to call one more person and then I'll call you back".
Days go by, he calls me instead of my husband (not the first time this has happened, the guy clearly can't read phone numbers and names), and proceeds to tell me that they will not take our bed back, the guarantee is only 60 days, the bed is "probably soiled", he complained that they would have to clean it if they picked it up, he went on and on and gave me every worthless excuse in the book and then some.
I absolutely hate liars. Cannot stand them. This guy Mike is one of the worst sales people I've EVER come across. I would recommend running far from this store and it's...
Read moreAbsolutely HORRIBLE operational procedures at the Brighton store. I was told when I purchased my washer and dryer last week to "save the boxes" unless something is wrong with your appliances." This should have been the first red flag......should have turned and walked away! I was told to run the washing machine as normal to assess if there are any issues.....THERE ARE!!! Obviously something is defective with the motor as it sounds more like a garbage disposal!!! Upon discovering this I called the store manager immediately to return both appliances for which I requested to "upgrade" to machines with a higher consumer rating.......I also stated that I wanted to add a Dishwasher. I am now 6 days without a washer and dryer, and cannot get someone to either take both appliances back or come and assess the one that does not work! Furthermore, I can't even get the General Manager to stand by the products he sells, take responsibility for the ongoing issue, or offer me an amicable solution to this dilemma. All I keep hearing is that it is my fault for running detergent through the machine on the first run (never was told not to), and also my fault because I should not have called the store, but rather THE MANUFACTURER.....REALLY??? Whatever happened to 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION GUARANTEED??!!?? In my opinion, ABC Warehouse employs wannabe car salesman who know NOTHING about the products they peddle, nor do they care to know......they are just passing through. Has anyone else noticed that every time you find the need to go into ABC Warehouse, Brighton, you NEVER see the same face twice?? What's with the turnover rate?? And where do they find these people????? I don't even give them 1 star.....they...
Read moreI have done a lot of shopping over the decades at the Brighton and Ann Arbor location. After last night I will never again spend my money here. Our last purchase was kitchen appliances AND washer and dryer and we bought the extended warranty for all of them. Part of that included getting store credit if you didn't use your warranty. I was given a business card that detailed out the amount of credit for each appliance and the dates of warranty. Well last night I went to use the credit to purchase more than what the credit amount was and I was told I couldn't use it because I didn't have the "original" receipt. I asked "don't you have my order in your system showing the purchase and warranty?" and he said "yes, but I have to have the original receipt." I explained to him I was not told that and if I knew that I would have kept the original receipt with this warranty card. Why would I keep just half of what I needed. Why would I keep the card for 5+ years but not the "original" receipt If I knew I needed it? Especially when you have my transaction IN YOUR SYSTEM. In typical used car salesman style he didn't offer up any help.... not an apology for the miscommunication. He was just done talking. I took my warranty card and before I was even 10 steps from the desk he was already off talking to another customer. I am completely disgusted with this experience. I've outfitted 3 houses with appliances and televisions and sound bars, car stereo systems when they did that and never had such an experience. They lost a customer over a $335 store credit. I am more than happy to take my business elsewhere. I emailed the headquarters about this as well. We will see if I get any response. Do better...
