Stopped in the Brighton store today to get a new case and the salesman named Maurice could not tell me what phone Or what case was needed for it was a total smart ass and extremely rude. The worst sales experience ever.. There are a lot of decent people in this world, but having a salesman at this job is bad for business This is also the same salesman nine months ago when I got a new phone didn’t know how to transfer anything to my new phone told me I had to do it so I came back the next day and asked somebody else and they took care of it not only knowledgeable But rude.

Excellent place to get all your phone upgrades and issues resolved. Chris Corey is the best in the business and should be above a standard sales associate. He needs to be in a corporate roll with his vast knowledge of the industry. Thanks Again for all your help and support.

The customer service is exactly what you expect when entering any Verizon store. I can't describe it any other way really 🤣 . And I was even there the day before labor day at like 30 minutes to close. (yeahh I was that kind of customer). My REAL review is on the building. I can't give a fair assessment of the service because it's not fair but the building. Wow there is so actually much to talk about. The star rating is on the building and how it interacts with it's environment/people.

I Love the size a floor plan of the building. Honestly. If I wanted to go to any tech store that Brighton Verizon has the best, most human feel I have experienced. Being able to feel like no matter what you were there for you could just hang out. Was beautiful. Probably wondering why a 4/5 about now huh?

The only reason why I took a star off of the final rating is because of the product layout. To give context, I have ADHD. It's strictly a me thing and I'm taking steps to correct it. However, when I was in the store, I had some troubles comparing products. Again, this problem is exclusive to me, but I feel if there are people like me trying to compare and get a product right for them, they have to take a picture of the items to compare in order to compare them.

That's the only reason why 4/5. If there was some way to get at least a fake comparson of different products then I would have felt like I was able to be comfortable deciding.

To better explain what I mean / give a solution to what I would "need"; I'm going to "fix" the product layout I'm a way I think would be better.

Right now the product is laid out in ecosystem and general sections. Samsung devices are I'm the Samsung area. iPhone is in the iPhone area etc. This is a perfect way to separate phone styles and let people know what products work with the one you look at.

But where is breaks down, at least for me, is when a person isn't going for a brand/style but is instead looking for best options. Verizon stores in general have a problem with this and more often than not it's required to get the input of the person helping you to make a decision. But with the size of this store it felt amplified.

I was looking to compare all smartwatch brands in the store. But because I had no where to start with, I immediately had to ask the tech where the items are. So already I'm getting shown personal opinions on smart watches rather than just seeing for me self right away and THEN getting an opinion. (Please keep giving tech opinions it's good)

So what would I do to fix it? I'm not sure how to/where to do my idea, BUT, I have one. My idea to fix it for me is, keep the layout of the store like it is; but also some place that has a bit of an opening, put a stand with ALL devices in the same category just right next to each other. Like smart watches are all within a 8 inch*8 inch space on top of a stand. All it has is, the name of the product and the brand. Boom done. The same kind of small stand could be used for phones, tablets, chargers. Just in general, things people would compare.

A solution like that would 100% be the best thing ANY tech store could do. It's only amplified by the scale of this store in Brighton. And I understand that's a lot of floor inventory so a good middle ground would be a paper or a screen that has the devices on it and you could select by category or anything else. It's less effective than hands on but if you add it to like a back corner and have a couple stations, you really would bring out the PUNCH the store had. And I say back corner because looking at something when there are people most likely makes people feel like they are in the way unless they look at it by a building wall. Bit of human psychology for ya.

Please dm me or reply to this of what you think:) I really love this store and want to genuinely help make it Feel like...

If you like traveling to a store 5 times...literally...to exchange a phone, this is place for you! I hesitated to write a review, but after the 5th time of visiting this wonderful location, I figured I'd take the time...to save someone else some time. I have only written 4 reviews in my lifetime so far because typically, after a bad experience, you just shake it off and don't go back.

A salesman named Joe 'helped' us out the first day. It was looking promising. My fiancƩ and I needed to upgrade phones for business. Here is our experience:

During that period of 2 hours, I can't make this up, we received 3 quotes for the same product and packages. He ABSOLUTELY did NOT know what he was doing. This is why: every time we asked him a question about price or product or service, he beat around the bush and never answered our questions. He then proceeded to sell me on Disney Plus. What do I mean by this? I told him no...THREE..TIMES. So what does he do? He adds it on anyways come to find out after looking at the first bill. It was a PAIN to get it cancelled.

Next, he then proceeded to try to sell us on internet.... This part was the best. We got this box...a literal internet box. He tells us to plug it into an outlet at home and it will lead to instant internet. I said, "no," once again, THREE...TIMES. Finally, I just said yes to shut him up just because I knew I would return it anyways because I knew we would have to come back up there for something else. Well, here is the thing, I bring it inside our home, and it crashes our internet we already had.... I don't know how and for the love of God, I don't know why. So...I had to then TRY and use it because I business to take care of. Guess what, HE DIDN'T ACTIVATE THE BOX WITH OUR ADDRESS! In other words, we practically 'stole it.' Another salesman that Saturday said it wasn't activated and had a pretty nervous look on his face about it.

About the phone exchange...oh my Lord.... We were told there was a box coming in the mail...one month later...no box. Yes. this took one month. We checked with them NON STOP on this issue. They had has on a rabbit chase. Finally, we honestly got mad and walked in and calmly told them this whole situation. This lovely new manager (sarcasm) said, "No worries! We can just generate a QR code for you to return it that way and make it easier!" Am I the only one who sees the problem here? Why in the HECK couldn't we do this in the FIRST PLACE???

Lastly, my man Joe.... Joe walks over and had the audacity to ask if everything was alright after leaving a customer he was in the middle of dealing with, and man, do I feel bad for that guy. I bit my tongue and said, "Yep, we are all good now." He then said, "Well I have another deal for you!" I immediately said, "NO DEAL." He of course proceeds on anyways to tell me about the deal and finally I told them about our experience. It was HELL. Nothing but issues. Absolutely nothing but problems. He added on things after saying no. Lets go ahead and call that stealing.

I snapped a pic of the QR Code, booked it for the door. The new manager told me to wait, then proceeds on about the internet box again, not realizing we already took that train ride. I just shook my head and walked right out. Again, call this dramatic, but I CANNOT believe they hired these people.

This one took a lot of hold back not to snap. Proud to say I didn't, but I'd be SHOCKED if a customer doesn't snap at them on a daily basis.

Corporate really needs to come have a look at this.

Going back to BestBuy and buying a phone outright next time. There is no way Joe can convince...

I am not at all surprised by the low score for this Verizon store. I will say that my first trip there wasn’t awful. Didn’t have to wait long & the rep, a female whose name I didn’t catch, helped me get a new phone number for my grandpa vs. waiting 10 days for his Xfinity phone # to port over after he moved. I had hoped this would fix our issue, but it didn’t. His wireless home phone modem still would not activate. I ended up having to return the modem. On this trip, we had a horrible experience. The wait time was beyond excessive & the manager just said we are short staffed. I saw at least 3 other employees come out of the back & then just leave the sales floor without helping anyone. There were only ever 2 staff out helping customers. I can understand people needing a lunch break. Honestly from a customer’s perspective, it looked like no one wanted to be bothered. I have no idea what those other employees were doing in the back, but it sure would have been nice if they could have helped customers in the store. When it was finally my turn (I was there about my grandpa’s account), the store manager was the one who helped me. I can’t remember his name, but it started with a T. He exchanged the modem & said I’d have to pay tax on it. I said that was fine. Then he added in that I’d have to pay an activation fee. All this totaled about $44, even though on the original receipt, no taxes or activation was charged. I was told my grandpa would get a statement credit for that amount. I begin to voice my frustration about the whole situation, which included 2 days worth of phone calls with zero results to the issue of getting his device activated & that I was very concerned about my 98 yr old grandpa not having a way to contact anyone after moving into a new place. This is the service his independent living community uses, so there wasn’t another option for phone service. The manager got defensive & said I was taking it out on him. I explained I was voicing my concerns. A manager should be willing to listen & be apologetic, which he wasn’t at all. I got the new modem back to my grandpa’s & it still didn’t work. I called & spoke to a manager at the Howell store, whose card I had because that was the store I originally thought the device had been purchased at. She figured out right away that the SIM card in the new device needed to be activated. Once she did that, the device activated & was working fine. So why didn’t the manager at the Brighton store where I exchanged the device at do that in the first place…??? Drive the extra 10-15 mins & go to the Howell store. Much better reviews & I left a glowing review for that store manager,...
