Would not recommend buying an appliance at Best buy, especially Brighton. GREAT at advertising and really smooth talking sales associates. Went to Best buy to purchase a washer during their president day sale. Went in the store , asked to see two washers on sale. The sales guy was smooth talker convinced me to buy a washer, said his mother had the same one for seven year's no problem. Went to purchase the washer and they " accidentally " charged me the $ 99.00 delivery fee which was supposed to be free of charge . should of realized that was my first red flag. Walked back into store after noticing my receipt and they refunded the money . Washer got delivered 3 days later First delivery guys were great . I even tiped them 20.00 a piece they hooked up my washer no problem and left. A day after I noticed the washer would skip a cycle and washed practically ripping my clothes, called and luckily I was still in manufacture warranty . So I called no problem and they said they would do an exchange. Things happen so I said okay. A couple days later like 4 days the other washer gets delivered this time the crew wasn't as nice took the washer that was broken and instead of using the carrier, the guys drags across my wood floors leaving black marks and scratches my floor. Doesn't apologize , literally said oh I left marks on the floor, then goes to tell me he can't hook new washer up because it wasn't on the order which wasn't true. I'm like okay? So they left I looked over the washer they brought it has water at the bottom, scratches and dirt on the inside and marks on top of it Plus it was smaller. I was supposed to get a replacement which should have been new. I call customer service tell them what just happened Guy was nice said he would do a claim for my floor and send another washer. AND Have a talk with the crew that brought my washer, about not dragging washers across people floors. A another week goes by so I have been out of a washer twice now With small children in the house and trying to do laundry at my grandparents because I now had two broken washers delivered. The claim that was supposed to happen the company claimed I didn't email even though I did thar day and I even sent screen shots of the conversation. Haven't heard a word back...I'm like forget it..obviously that was a joke so the guy could get out of me being upset about my floors. Almost a week and half later.. my 3rd washer is delivered. My husband had to miss a couple hours of work to wait for delivery because I had to do some things. They walked washer in nice, used carrier got it hooked up and washer automatically start leaking all over the floor with delivery guy standing there because he wanted to test it to make sure it was working. Delivery guy calls customer service tells them the washer is defective. Takes both washers. Now I'm without a washer once again. This is 2 weeks. So I told them I wanted a refund wasn't interested in another washer. Took 3 weeks, 6 phone calls. Because they still wanted to deliver a 4th washer ! Finally one of the customer service people got it right in the system and it finally got refunded All they did to " make things better was send 150 dollar gift cards that took 10 days to get to me while my family had the flu with small kids and no washer. 3 weeks still haven't hears from claims department yet for floors so I given up Bought a washer at home depot Delivered two days, hooked up nicely, people were friendly No problems Save yourself the problem. Don't buy appliances...
Read moreI gave Best Buy one star, but I would rather have given them zero! Here's my experience with their lack of customer service and their rude and obnoxious store manager.
I bought a Netgear router/modem from Best Buy. 2-1/2 months later the unit stopped functioning. Because of my and my wife's work I needed to replace the unit immediately. Taking the failed unit into the store they proceeded to tell me that the unit was outside of their Best Buy warranty policy but still within Netgear's. I would have to buy a replacement unit from the store and then contact Netgear to be reimbursed for the replacement unit I bought.
So I bought the new unit, got it up and running, and then called Netgear. Netgear told me that I had to get the reimbursement from Best Buy, and the only thing they would do was replace the damaged unit. I asked, what was I going to do with another unit? I simply needed to be reimbursed for the unit that I was forced to buy by Best Buy. After multiple hours of discussions, Netgear refused to help me and would only send a replacement unit, AFTER I paid for return shipping for the failed unit. They then said to go back to Best Buy to be reimbursed.
After a couple weeks the replacement unit came in, so I went to the Brighton Best Buy to return the brand new unit and get reimbursed. But of course, because of the delays in receiving the unit from Netgear I was now outside Best Buys return policy by 2 days and all they could give me was store credit. I didn't want store credit, so I went to speak with the manager. I started to tell him how frustrated I was and before I could explain the situation he said, "Bring it down and get out of my face!" I wasn't in his face, but that comment certainly made me want to do so.
I again tried to explain to him the situation. He was not interested in hearing me out and simply cut me off saying that they have a policy, the policy said that all I could get was store credit, and that is all they would do to help me. He then turned his back on me and refused to try and help me.
It is terrible customer service like this that drives customers to buying from Amazon rather than the retail outlet. I will never again shop at a Best Buy, and I encourage anyone who reads this to avoid Best Buy at all costs. They don't care about their customer beyond the immediate dollar they take from you. They're big into selling their extended warranties where they make outrageous profits, but refuse to work with their customer on a problem. In my case the unit was within warranty, just that Best Buy doesn't honor the product warranty.
What a scam!
DON"T SHOP AT BEST BUY!!!...
Read moreLived in Brighton my whole life and have shopped at this location several times. We just recently moved back to town and needed new computer mice. First time we went in we were greeted only after having made it half way towards the aisle and past the employees. We made it back to where we needed and found a poor selection of computer mice and keyboards that we were looking for, they have the generic "gaming" things that everyone buys but aren't amazing. We headed to checkout and were in line and at the register fairly quickly as there were hardly any customers in store. The woman who checked us out (an older woman who i did not get a name of) was distracted and helping everyone else and was in a rush. She clicked all the buttons on the pinpad for us assuming that because our name was right when she asked that our address was as well, even though we had just moved. I let it slide as I knew what address we had on that specific account. She then proceeded to engage with others and had an attitude from checking us out. We tried to get out as fast as we can as it was a very unpleasant interaction. After going home and trying the mouse that my husband bought he realized it was not the right one and we were going to go back to return and get the other one he had his eyes on. Again we walked in the following day, and headed to the register. Another older woman, different from the first, processed our return after she had to ask whether we were purchasing or returning while trying to hand our receipt to her. She was also having trouble looking up our phone number and said we either didn't have an account or the phone number was wrong. We had to give the phone number again and she processed the return with an attitude, similar to that of the first lady. We again made our way back to mice and keyboards and my husband found the mouse he wanted the first time we went in and I picked one up as well. We went back up to the registers to pay and again checked out, but this time with a different employee. He was very respectful and had great customer service unlike the first 2 ladies we encountered. If there was another Best Buy closer to us we would take our business there otherwise we are sticking to Amazon as they have more stock than this best buy has and their customer service is 100...
