Arrived last night about 10 minutes before close. When we walked in, a young lady and a young man both saw us. Because the music was loud, I hollered in asking if it was too late to get food. I smiled so that they would know it was a friendly request. The young man, Alex, ROLLED HIS EYES, turned around, stalked back to the kitchen and yelled back in an icy tone, "2 out front." The young girl immediately looked down and continued to ignore my cries of "Hello? Hello!". Another gentleman came out to greet us about a minute later. It was obvious having them cook our food would not be a good idea but I wanted the young man's name before I left. HONOR YOUR HOURS. If you close at 10, then CLOSE at 10. If you want to close at 9:45, then POST that. Further, even a, "Sorry but we shut off our fryer," or whatever the reason is that you don't want to offer your service before you close is better than treating a customer rudely. You should never roll your eyes at [friendly] money walking through your door. There are several other burger options in the area (Red Robin, Bagger Dave's, Chili's, etc) to choose from. Recognize that if you charge more than anyone else in town, you need to offer better service than anyone else in town. I didn't mind paying more but now that overpriced burger is yet one more reason to take my...
Read moreNot a bad location for being in what I would consider a “strip mall” setting. My family and I came in an hour before close on New Year’s Eve. Luckily, it wasn’t too long of a wait to order our meals. I wish I could say this place wasn’t expensive, but that would be a lie. Don’t get me wrong, the food is made fresh and better than most fast food places, but $83.00 for a family of four to eat here is a ridiculous to say the least. Aside from being super expensive, the only other issue I had with this place was the food scraps and peanut shells scattered all under the tables and the floor. A lot of the tables were dirty too, but I managed to find a clean one tucked away in the corner. They had well more than enough employees working, so someone could have come out from behind the counter to clean up the lobby and seating area. The food was good, but not good enough to pay these crazy high amounts. The fact they have a tip jar on the front counter where you order and pay is a slap in the face to all customers. You are already making at least $14-16 dollars an hour just to make simple food. All in all, my family and I will not be returning back to this burger joint anytime soon...
Read moreI used to love this place but I am getting frustrated of late. In the last 6 months or so, they are consistently running out of key ingredients at the end of the day (e.g. bacon, onions). This hasn't happened one time but seems to be the norm (the last 5 times or so there has been an issue with supply). How do you run a burger restaurant but not have enough bacon for the day? I asked the employee at the register and he empathized with me and said they had a recent change in ownership which changed their food stocking practices. They are now "corporate" owned (versus regionally?) and since this change they routinely run out of key ingredients. This is very frustrating and unacceptable in my opinion. This same trend happened to Chipotle in the same building during the Covid pandemic and they haven't recovered. I really wish Five Guys could get their act together because they are outstanding when...
