Meijer — Local services in Brighton

Great little community very Trendy this is a lake life location , clean , up to date , A bit slow from time to time but it's shopping there is a small sushi restaurant that serves coffee inside Meijer location and if you plan on making a day of this exit stop I can give you a few ideas . As soon as you leave Meijer location and desire to go south and stay on grand river this will take you to US 23 also all the sites and points of interest will be on this grand river road so we don't have to get off and get lost . There is a cute little laundry mat that location is near a walking tour bridge with a wonderful view of the water and many small eatery's and pub's also a Ice cream shop . There is also a small mall across from the Meijer with a Dollar tree, tanning salon with a laundromat inside also and spray tan... frozen yogurt company in same parking lot behind gas station also kick box class, Michael's arts and craft. If you decide not this mall and want to travel a bit further going south and staying on this road you will come into the trendy Brighton town life with a few pubs and also a Kroger with Gas station , CVS a few liquor stores and a bowling alley also. If you decide to go north on grand river when coming out of Meijer location then this is the town of Howell about 25 minutes away from this Meijer . By staying on grand river and again your going north will take you past a visit site on the right side of street this is called lake chemung view point and it's awesome small but relax and enjoy. After leaving here we are still staying on grand river this road takes you to highway M59 if this is where you need to go it will connect you with us 23 again and 96 going in either direction . But on the way you will pass a Walmart another Meijer location and a few fast food joints . Taco Bell , Arby's , white Castle, Burger King , McDonald's Harbor freight a few automotive stores for parts . Bell tire if you need air in tires and don't have change it's free there . Also there is another connection for 96 going west or east off of Latson road directly by a gas station coming out of the Walmart and Lowe's parking lot , just in case you get lost . Now if you continue to want to stay on this grand river road you will also run into another bowling alley with a lounge and a game room , there is also a library and police station and a small community arts crafts garden and veggies sale on the weekend during the summer and fall . So check out the sites and enjoy again. You will drive past Howell school And police station this will take you past diamonds steak house and bar all locations are on grand river including a few coffee shops So have a blessed day and enjoy making memories with family and friends.. and remember this way going north on grand river from Meijer will take you directly through this little town called Howell straight to m59 and this will connect you to US 23 to 96 in either direction. My experience today was unacceptable. I got in line at 1:50pm to check out my groceries. I needed to do a split payment. The pos froze during my first attempt and the cashier kept looking at me like I was crazy and not pressing the right buttons when I repeatedly told her your pos is frozen. She screwed around for 10 minutes trying the same thing over and over. 15 mins go by, she asks another cashier for advice. Meanwhile the customers behind me were already festering to find another lane. 20 mins go by, she finally calls systems who had absolutely no idea what to do and wastes another 10 mins of my time. By then, my groceries had already been sitting in my cart for 35 mins plus the time it took me to shop. The systems lady finally calls for help 40 mins after Im sitting there waiting. Meanwhile, the clueless lady that totally walked away from the situation and left me with no help at one point, jumps on another lane and starts helping the customers that were behind me. All avoiding eye contact with me and ignoring the fact that I had waited so long to check out. By the time 45 mins came, I told the last lady sent to help me that I wanted my money back for the first part of my transaction and no longer wanted my groceries as they were probably well on there way to being spoiled as I waited so long for someone who actually knew what they were doing to help. I wasted 3 hours at your store and half of my day gone for absolutely nothing. Plus, the time of having to completely REDO my whole grocery shopping at Kroger. I will never shop at your store again. Horrible service. I was refunded my money on a meijer gift card plus an additional $14, but that still isn't enough for me. I don't want to return to spend any...

02/13/2023 Chelsey was very helpful! She works in the meat department at Meijer, but, came to my rescue in the dairy department! I couldn't reach the ice cream I was trying to get. She was Very polite to help me get what I needed/wanted. I appreciate people like Chelsey working at Meijer! THANK You ❤️

12/02/2020 Laura at the customer service desk is always very friendly! Nick at the check out lane was very professional, kind and courteous! I needed help at the check out, and he acted immediately. Thank you for having people like Laura and Nick working at Meijer! 04/08/2021 The deli people seem to be the hardest working people there!! I was there today to pick up chicken from the deli and spoke with Joel W.. He is an amazing worker! Meijer should be proud to have him as an employee! He does amazing work and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is finished and nothing goes to waste! He is very good helping others getting everything they need! You can see that he cares for each person! Be sure to say hi to Joel and thank him for all the hard work he does! Koodles to all the deli workers!!

07/14/2025 As I was checking out. The cashier, named Alex was very kind! I feel She goes above her job duties to make sure everyone is getting the help they need! I am glad she works at Meijer! I hope she gets recognized from Meijer for her excellent work!
