I travel a lot for work so I have visited a few other Beauty Schools in other locations. I live in the Bristol area though and I wanted to visit the local Beauty School here in Fact I have been here before at this locatuon but it has been well over 20 plus years ago and I was satisfied. So I looked on the Bristol School of Hair Designs website and saw they had some fantastic specials and called up a couple of friends and we decided to do a last minute lower cost Mini Spa Day. Wow how upsetting of an experience. I truly have NO idea how this School is getting funding or passing inspections. I realize this is a very critical review but I was absolutely unbelievably SHOCKED at how nasty this place was. And the longer I was there having services a total of 7 hours the more concerned I was of the YEARS of build up of Nastiness. The Floors, the counters, the sinks, the Manicure Tables, the facial area, the pedicure chair everything honestly looked like it had not been wiped down mopped or cleaned in many many many years. I TRULY hope this review will at least bring it to your attention the uncleanliness especially in a location that offers all the services you offer is just not acceptable. I truly believe this is a major health concern. Honestly if the Services where `𝙵𝚁𝙴𝙴 until this place does a Major overhaul and is CLEAN they lost some great business together we spent well over 200.00 for our services plus we tipped generously. My stylist was great!! Morgan done a fabulous bleach job and was very attentive. My bad experience came from the instructor. I get my hair done there often and last time had a full bleach, trim and then dyed silver and lavender for $60. This time i only had roots bleached and she quoted me $79 just for root bleach. Roots were about 5 inches and she kept telling student to use 2 bottles. Well first of all it only took 1 bottle to which i guess she thought i was lying. The stylist had to come and tell the instructor herself then the instructor continued to finagle to get the most $$. Morgan had her pull the pricing sheet to clarify the price of 4 scoops of bleach. Student surpasses the teacher. This wouldve never happened if the regular instructor was there. She charged me the appropriate $50 and i tipped the student $10 for saving the day. If they needed a little xtra idve been MORE THAN HAPPY to donate as i do go often but dont lie to me and try to fleece me just because i can afford it. The price was corrected after some dispute but now i fear being fleeced whenever that particular instructor is there. Thankyou Morgan, you were fabulous. If xtra $$ is needed they need a donation bucket rather than trying to double charge customers. 3 actions for $59 or 1 for $79........huge difference depending on which instructor...

MADE MY DAUGHTER APPOINTMENT FOR CUT & PERM, 2 GUYS WORKED ON IT, SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN A SPIRAL CURLY PERM, THEY BRUSHED & BRUSHED THE PERM,, EVERY ONE KNOWS NOT TO BRUSH A CURLY PERM,WHEN WE GOT DONE WE WERE NOT PLEASED ONE GUY SAID TO LEAVE IT IN 3O MINUTES, THE OTHER TOOK IT OUT IN 20 MINUTES. THEY OFFERED TO REDO FREE OF CHARGE, DO WE ARE HEADING BACK IN A COUPLE OF HOPE AND PRAY THINGS WILL BETTER. GOING TO MAKE SURE SOMEONE WAITS ON US THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING OR THAT THEIR INSTRUCTOR MAKES SURE IT'S DONE RIGHT, BECAUSE SHE DID NOT DO THIS ON THAT DAY.

WENT BACK TO GET THEM TO DO THE JOB OVER, AFTER 3 1/2 HOURS, STILL DID A POOR JOB ON PERM, DID NOT CURL, INSTRUCTORS NOT MUCH HELP TO THE STUDENTS, THE ONE WORKING ONY DAUGHTER WAS NICE & ALL, BUT HE TRIED TO ASK ASSISTANCE SEVERAL TIMES FROM INSTRUCTORS, I FEEL THE INSTRUCTOR SHOULD STAY WITH THEM TO HELP WHERE NEEDED, ESPECIALLY AFTER SITTING THAT LONG TO TRY YO GET IT TO BE DONE...
