This review is exclusive for the Broken Arrow Store. July 8th 2024. I went in with very long hair and got the 1st try $1 treatment. This consisted of: beverage, haircut consultation The haircut paraffin hand treatment Scalp massage and facial moisturize.
Was greeted by Amelia, a beautiful and nice women, together with another equal lady that didn't provide her name. They were charming and are the beginning of the feeling of making you feel relaxed. They offered the beverage, it is a standard Water or Soda selection, it's a bit silly, but it sets a pleasant mood and that's important. The haircut consultation was lackluster. I came in with extremely long hair and a lot of potential, but my stylist named August (very kind person) didn't exactly consult me. She did however show me after a good chat a haircut to check if I liked it (I did not). We however got started, and she did a fantastic job at the haircut (I like it, and it looks great). Next came the Paraffin hand treatment, it sucked and burned my 1 of hands, it seems to be some sort of hot wax poured on your hands to make them soft.
I think it was fun to do, but wouldn't want it again, this experience may vary from person to person. I suggest you have some sort of knowledge of your heat tolerance level or skip this treatment. The final treatment was the scalp massage and facial treatment, this was an amazing experience, August had astounding hands and massaged well the scalp with a peppermint blend. She was professional and asked if I was allergic, felt remarkable, and I would definitely do this part again. The facial moisturizer was exactly that and nothing special. My hair was stylized once again and my hands free from paraffin wax and was taken to pay my $1.
Amelia proceeded to make me feel good about how I look and explained how the membership process works. Basically, if you pay monthly $47, you can get this treatment and even switch it up a bit by not getting the hand paraffin and get a facial scrub or something else. This can also be done for $55 if you don't do the monthly thing. Overall service was nice and a good experience. Pricing needs work, but we all understand inflation, and that is something they need to figure out to attract more prospects. Service was down to earth and to my liking. I will come back, just not every month.
Thank You,...
Read moreMy first visit to this place made me never want to come back again. If this company's goal is to create a welcoming and hospitable vibe for first-time customers, they completely failed. It was nice that it only cost $1 for my first cut, but the woman cutting my hair was totally charmless and uninviting. She rudely corrected me when I told her how I wanted my hair cut, demanding that I give her a specific number on the clippers (there's a nice way to correct people; good manners don't cost anything). Also, one of the bad moments that stuck out during my visit happened in the middle of my haircut. The young lady working at the front desk came in and casually announced to my barber 'I hate men', which I found utterly cringey and off-putting, considering she works at a men's barber shop. The total lack of a filter or any sort of professionalism/situational awareness from her almost made me laugh. The other thing which made my visit unpleasant was that the woman cutting my hair left me a sweet little parting gift in the form of a scrape on the back of my neck with the clippers. I didn't end up bleeding from it, but it stung all evening after my haircut, which I found very annoying. If she hadn't been so aggressive with the clippers and so frantic to rush me out the door, perhaps she wouldn't have cut me on the back of the neck and made the company lose out on a potential future customer. Honestly, I'd recommend going to Nancy's $8 haircuts in town, or any other barber shop with workers that have a more friendly disposition. In summation, I found a stark difference in the way the business was presented to me during booking and through my friend who recommended it to me, versus the actual treatment I received during my visit. They should hire...
