I have a challenging time finding clothes I like... that is, until I discovered Maurices. Their style is my favorite! I especially love all of the bright pastel colors and lace accents. Their basic layering tank tops are the best I've ever found... I dream of owning one in every color!
While I LOVE their clothes, I've been disappointed with the customer service at this location lately...
Last time I went in, 3 of the employees spent over 15 minutes complaining about a customer who had just left. They were right at the register, and talking so loudly that you could hear them no matter where you were at in the store. It seemed incredibly rude and unprofessional.
I have a rewards card, and for every $10 I spend, I get a point. I went to checkout (same day as mentioned above), I spent $29.80 and only got 2 points. I asked if I could add something small to get 3 points, since I had practically spent $30. The employee looked at me like I was an idiot, laughed, and said no. I left feeling stressed out and irritated... my entire shopping experience had been terribly unpleasant.
An employee once told me a shirt I was purchasing would absolutely not shrink. After I washed it (I followed the instructions on the tag), it shrunk so much that it looked like a children's shirt. It was one of my favorite shirts, and I spent $24 on it... which ended up being a waste. I was so disappointed.
Also, I have 3 clothing items I purchased from Maurices that ripped/the stitching came undone after one time of wearing each item. Their clothes are beautiful, but cheaply made.
While some of my complaints seem trivial, one thing is clear. There are some stores that go above and beyond to wow their customers with excellent customer service, and Maurices is not one of them. If they had impressive customer service, their store would be practically perfect. If they keep doing what they are doing, they are going to lose a lot...
