Janet’s Treasure Chest in Hochatown is a delightful rabbit hole of treasures, where you’ll find Bigfoot, candy, and maybe even a minor head injury. As a 6’1” person, I felt like a literal giant wandering through a Hobbit’s dream home. I hit my head on so many things, I’m considering starting a support group for tall visitors. But honestly, it’s worth the bumps for what’s inside.

The candy section is pure magic—a rainbow of sugar-coated temptations that immediately hypnotized the kids. Getting them away from it was like trying to drag Bigfoot out of the forest—both stubborn and slightly terrifying. Speaking of Bigfoot, I swear I saw him lurking near the novelty mugs. Or maybe it was just a really committed staff member. Either way, 10/10 for atmosphere.

Boy Howdy! Janet’s Treasure Chest fits the bill perfectly! With Bigfoot and alien memorabilia from $1 to (I was afraid to look), plus just about every other type of trinket, jewelry, sign, gift, book, game, and everything else remotely related to Oklahoma, Native Americans and anything you might want to happily part ways with your funds for.

The store is like your great aunt’s house—the one who has been collecting everything since she was a girl. It keeps going on and on, room after room opens to more and more treasures…and treats! CANDY! Even the traditional candy your old great aunt has when she was little.

Went there yesterday 20 mins before close. Staff starting turning lights out on customers 15 minutes before closing. Basically telling us to leave so we left empty handed 10 mins before close since we didnt feel welcome. Cool stuff so we went back this morning. Nice blonde welcomed us in and checked us out. The rest of the staff was rude. They'd squeeze by us without saying anything and would look at us as if we bothered them for being there. 1 girl was the same girl turning lights off on us the day before. I wanted to ask them if they had manners or knew how to smile. I was very close to not purchasing my 3 items due to the staffs rude behavior 2 days in a row. Get the rude sad girls out of there!
