Spencer's — Local services in Brookfield

This location does not have good customer service. My mom and sister both went on separate occasions to get me some curved barbells, and I told them the specific size I needed. What we found out is that Spencer's doesn't carry the size I asked for, which would've been fine if someone had said that, but the employees on both occasions told them that the size they were receiving was the size I was asking for (it was not). When I tried to return them today, a lady with an eyebrow piercing "helped" me but was very condescending and unhelpful. She crumpled up the gift reciept in front of me saying "this is nothing" and told me I could only do an in store credit since the buyers card wasn't on hand. What's the point of the gift reciept then? Since I didn't have the actual reciept, there was nothing I could do. I've been to this location tens of times to purchase jewelry, and while I have had a few wonderful experiences, those are rare and I'm usually met with people who seem just plain miserable and have no interest in actually helping the customers. While trying to enjoy a day at the mall with my wife, we went to look for 18+ 'toys' and just generally glance around. Within the 5 MINUTES we were there; we had been asked "Can I help you guys find anything" 6 TIMES by 2 different workers.(Nobody else was asked at all, they only hovered around us) Please have your Obese workers ask OTHERS this same question before repeatedly coming back to me while I'M TRYING DECIDE WHAT TO BUY, IM NOT "LOOKING" FOR ANYTHING. I actually really love Spencer's so I'm disappointed about posting this. I was unsure about buying some jewelry there for my nose but was told by a staff member that I could always try it out and return it if it didn't work for me. I went to return it the other day and a different staff member working there told me that that is absolutely untrue as it's unsanitary. I told her that it makes complete sense, but I was told something different by someone else.
