Governor's Square — Local services in Brookside

Governor's Square Shopping Mall offers an expansive prime location by the busy Pulaski Hwy, and next to other malls and shops and a public library within a stone throwaway distance. Such include Lowe's, DT Bank, Wells Fargo bank,eateries, drug store, Giant, LA Fitness, Texas Road House, to name but a few. Add these to Governor's own variety of choice that includes Shop Rite, a large liquor and wine store, games shop, Taiwan foods, Signature Furniture store, several other shops and interests.

The wide endless ample parking opens to the highway in the most efficient presentation. There is no traffic gridlock associated with this location. The criss‐crossing from one mall center to the adjacent one or across the highway happens smoothly.

The Pulaski Hwy runs East to West connecting the state of Maryland about 7 minutes to the west and the populous city of New Castle to the East. This makes Governor's Square ideal and accessible and ever popular with everyone.

There is a real farm with cows reared on it. This farm does offer its own organic produce during harvest time right by the Walther Rd farm. It presents a very sudden but welcoming break from shopping malls lining up Pulaski Highway. The machines operated on the farm are like nothing you have seen in recent days.

The center isn't as strong as it used to be when it's primary retail anchor K-Mart was in better shape, but it's still busy enough to be only three in Delaware that will remain open.

There is also an excellent grocery store, a Shop Rite owned by the Kenney family. IMO, the best grocery stores in Delaware.

Stewart's, one of the area's first brew pubs with really decent grub. Try the bison burger with a flight of Stewart's draft beers.

the Bear Library. A regionalibrary. How can you go wrong.

LOTS of food/restaurant offerings. LOTS. ...including 3 fast food offerings Chick Fil-A, McDonald's, and Taco Bell, the best chinese take out around, Wings to Go, Subway, Primo Hoagies, Mo's Southwest Grill, Longhorn Steakhouse, a Chinese buffet, and more.

Plenty of parking. GS loses points because the parking lot is famous for it's amazing potholes.

a DART bus stop right in front makes it convenient for those who utilize public transporration.

Shop Rite is by far the best quality best priced store in this area. Well worth the 7 lights in 1.5 mikes youl need to go through to get there. Although there oss not much fat food drive through this shipping center mashes up fort it with Little Ceasars, wings to go, Subway, Chinese, there's even a red box. Dyewarts brew pub is a nice local brewery with a menu that does not disapoint to go with their craft beers. There's a smoke shop that rolls cigarettes with choice tobacco. The stores may change but never sit empty except maybe the H&R Bligh in the off season which I actuality like to see as I visit the Game Stop & kuch up a $5. Hot & ready. It give just enough room so you dinner geek cramped in the large pl aaa that otherwise may be a bit overwhelming.
