I was a member of Take 5 car wash for many years; however in March of this year (2025) my Husband and I bought a brand new 2025 vehicle. Our vehicle is kept in the garage and is also kept clean inside and out. About a week after driving it I took it to Take 5, ran it through the wash and began to dry the car off when I noticed deep scratches on the medal trim along the front part of the windshield/passenger side window, and along the front and rear wheel well covering. When I went inside the lobby to speak to someone I ended up talking with the Asst.Manager who proceeded to take pictures and my information. He said he’d send the pictures to corporate and talk with the manager and I would hear something in 48 hours. Needless to say, Take 5 says they watched the video of cars that day getting washed and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary and no one else getting their car washed reported any scratches. They offered to wash the car going forward without the brushes but I didn’t see the point and there was no accountability for their equipment scratching my car. I believe it was the large arm of the microfiber dryer roll that did the damage because it wasn’t spaced far enough away from the track the cars run on when going through the wash channel. I have washed my car at Dirty Dogs for about a month now and haven’t seen any additional damage to my car. The only thing I would suggest is having the drying cloths be actually dry. They are damp and tend to leave streaks on the windows and wipe marks on the car when drying what the blow dryer didn’t dry upon exiting...
Read moreI stopped over to discuss getting a plan for my recently purchased vehicle. Spoke to a couple of young guys who seem to be running things. I told them I had 2 cars and was with one of their competitors. I was thinking of adding my new car and moving over my other car to them if their new car wash was better. I refuse to pay $35.00 for a single wash and asked if could let me try it out for a discount or free and they said they don’t do that. Now keep in mind I am an older guy, well spoken and dressed with a new German import SUV and not some freeloader looking for a free wash. They said no without even thinking to ask management. If they were smart, they would have called over a manager or did the math and realized that 2 cars equals $960.00 a year in gross revenue and in a county with nearly dozen car washes where competition is fierce, to give up a couple of dollars in cost would makes good business sense. I tried to call to talk to management but the 305 area code phone number on the website is not working. That’s pretty scary in and of itself. This upstart business needs better management and to require all inquiries to be left to a member if the management team. I wish them luck in the future. They’re...
Read moreLike your car? Take it somewhere else. Here’s why… Their prep = dirty wet brush on dry finish. There’s a reason car wash machines pre-wet your car before hitting the surface with brush or pads. The dry surface is OK for glass, but easily micro-scratches paint. No damage, but their machine bent my mirrors backwards. And I drive a car with standard mirrors- nothing that protrudes any more than normal. Poor cleaning / rinse / dry. When I got out of the car after, the car still had bugs on the front (despite their pre-brushing), there were also still soap suds and one entire side of the car was still wet. Poorly-kept post wash area. Went to wipe down the car after #3 and there were only a few towels available and they were all…crusty and stiff. Decided to just leave with the car wet at that point. To be honest, this place is aptly named…it’s a “Dirty Dog”. If you care about your vehicle, find...
